Lo, Im playing Shenmue I and II again, and remembering what fanstastic games these are.

Rumours were rife that Shenmue III would get a DC release even though the console is dead.
There were also rumours that it would only appear as a movie for DVD release.
My guess is that it will be on XBox only.

well i have to admit playing shenmue II on the xbox is far better than playing it on the DC. i hope the rumours bout part 3 being a dvd are false.

Yeah i heard about the dvd movie only. Shenmue 2 and 1 were landmark games imo, shame to see 3 get a crappy non-interactive release...
Remeber tho, this is Yu Suzuki, doesnt mind releasing sequels of games etc 10-15 years later, just look at Space HArrier and Outrun, admittedly they were a little thin on the plot side of things.
As for which console, i dont reckon ps2 will even get a look in, i dont believe it would handle the graphics, dc i dont believe, xbox looks highly likely IF ever

Just been playing the Demo of Shenmue 2 on the Xbox, I have to say I was impressed, appartenly the full game comes with a movie of the first game.
I've kinda stayed away from Shenmue even though my friend, who had it on DC said it was amazing, and the many reviews/Previews etc.. I may actually purchase it, mainly because I found it fun.
