Not sure how DCs style of a bit broody films is going to work with The Rocks less serious style(or rather not taken too serious), but could easily go either way.

The few times when DC have tried to make Billy Batson "dark" have never really sat well with me (Kingdom Come was the worst example), it just doesn't feel like that kind of character to me.

I have to say I have a guilty pleasure, I enjoy watching Dwayne Johnson (no homo) as an actor. Sure he's no Robert Downey Jr or Gene Hackman or even Morgan Freeman but he's entertaining to watch, not the greatest actor ever but his wrestling career has taught him how to pull off various rolls fairly decently.

That said! we need more DC Movies, Marvel is starting to get a bit boring now. I enjoy Iron Man, Thor and Hulk but Captain America can suck on my bellend as can Black Widow and Hawkeye.

I'd say he is rebort downy jr level when it comes to his specialization, which is current day arnie to put it easily.

But agreed on Gaffs point, and yours Blood, we need more DC but they do need to make it more lighthearted then Batman/superman(current gen that is).

They are quite good at their TV shows though and the Flash pre-air showed they can do a non-broody hero show.

I don't like this dark broody trend that's going through the DC movies. Their Animated movies have always been great, never understood why they just don't give those guys the extra money to turn into live action affairs.
