Ok picture this......

12 or so albs. Near mid pk we manage to kill a few mids well done......

The next thing that happened repeats in my mind over and over again.

4 mids leave their pk yes 4........ I'll give you a moment to figure out what happens.

About 8 of the albs start to run YES 4 mids, only two seemed to be level 50. By this time all the albs have started to run except me and a chosen few listed below. This was no tactical retreat they ran scared you could hear the screams.

We out number them 3 - 1. Who runs yes we do. And when I say run I mean RUN.

I was near the front having not realised that they had started running I got killed so did lakarell, maldine and sneaker.

So the mids probably laughing their socks off ressed all their dead to increase their numbers to match ours at least, buff themselves heal up and proceed to mmg to wipe out the fleeing and now very scattered albs.

But then.. I've seen mids and hibs refuse to charge ~8 albs throught amg, when they outnumbered us 2/1

All it takes is 1 bad call, and people run for the hills. Hibs and mids just realised that standing can earn a few rps, before us

Even if albs went to go and get the mids they would go back to pk we would wait there and doing what exactly?then a port more of mids would charge us and we could die its that simple.

Well...
PK = Guard pulls, No charges, all is up to the enemy, tehy decide if they have anough ppl to charge, if not they will only stay at the ubers and send SB's/RM/Hunters to farm some easy rp's.

MG = Mid's cant see our numbers as easy, the option to charge exists, it's up to either 1 of the teams to decide if they think they can manage to rush the others.

so imo camping a PK is just stupid... low rpgain, no skills needed ( not in a zerg either thou ). in other words just a waste of time.


Edit: If your gonna die anyway, why not do it with style ?

Anyway people don't want to hear random moans and bitching or do they. All I can say is 4 mids and 12 albs.

Let me restate this was no tactical retreat.......the mids ressed their dead and killed the then scattered albions I actually waited before I released so that I could see the death spam to make sure that there was no chance of us chomping grass getting a ress.

Fact: We could have killed them got our dead off the floor and won.

Fact: Those brave enough got killed those who ran got killed.

Im not Im laughing my head off its gonna keep me chuckling for a couple of days, the scenes after my death were superb.......lakarell was laughing his head off too tho he was chomping on better grass than I was, hills don't seem to be as popular with the greener grasses.

+ Let them run to pk at least get the albs off the floor........ then retreat to mmg any realm that leaves peeps chomping grass deserve to die and they did muahhha.

If you camp a portal keep expect to die sooner or later. It's a very poor tactic and should only be done by those with (1) speed; (2) lots of experience & (3) people who don't post on Barrysworld when they get killed.

There are far better things that scouts can do, even in non stealthed groups. Hell, there are far better things that all of us can do than camping PK's.

Werent camping.... originally at mmg we took a wander down to mpk killed a stealther and a few of mids. New mids came through portal when they ressed their dead and were allowed time they killed us. Camping pk is one thing crushing the enemy while they are weak is another..... if allowed to grow strong they could and did destroy us.

I was there for all of two minutes. I hate camping too will do it for a small while just to tease em out in rage and then head back to mmg.

+ I was solo and following the main alb contingent lead by mattshanes.

Also note: The mids weren't inside their pk I couldn't even see it tho I was close..... I saw the mids when they came round the corner.

and another + Do any of you honestly think I would go camp any pk with see hidden active even with camoflauge I wouldn't do it I'd be fodder in seconds..............

I was in the group of 8 mentioned by Wicoa. Excactly what happened was that our group had been at mmg alone for over 30 minutes and it was such a good group we repelled every attempt the mids tried to get through. We had a very good Sorceror, Theur and Ministrel and we owned the mids which always outnumbered us.

Some more albs turned up and some of our group followed them to mpk while 1 or 2 of us stayed at mmg including myself. We told our group of 8 to stay close together and not get split up as we had done so well as a group using the tactic that we had been using at mmg .

The other 7 people who were in my group were not scared albs but very good players.

Last time I do it...... is to follow albs I usually don't, I don't think it would have been a bad thing to ress the dead albions killing the 4 mids then running back to the mmg where we all came from. Allow the middies to get their peeps off the ground and have some decent battles at the mmg. I was following mattshanes's group and he was there by the mpk so him nodding with you're point above about camping the mpk is slightly contradicting.

+ I really don't think it was fair for someone to say we were camping when we were all there for no more than 2 minutes and the pk wasn't even in view.

I think camping should be classed as 5/10 mins plus and physically outside the pk.

I have been there camping for about 1 min or 2 with albs before and this was proper outside the pk camping. Last night I couldn't even see the pk, never saw it once. I never do it for too long only enough to get the mids into a battle cry and then we usually retreat to the mmg. If not I'll head off alone and have done this many times. + its not unusual to get stealthers to go check no.s etc.

Middies always visit us a little and then run off. They used to camp like hell...... thats when I used /q alot.

This post was not about me dieing I don't care about that or even getting a ress, I hardly ever expect one these days tho I must say LOE are superb on helping people onto their feet when their in the area. It was about me seeing 4 mids and 12 albs run......... I found what I saw very amusing. The amount of times I have been killed by an sb then /rel and the process repeats will have you cringing. Me moaning about getting a ress is pretty laughable.

Most people tend to run away from a pk keep even if they outnumber the enemy just because camping the pk is a boring way to spend the day, and its often not seen as good rvr conduct.
