Just means u have to sue a doff style that Doublefrost, makes ur chars interesting.

If I were you I would be more pissed off about you crits in rat mode going from 50%-100% to 1%-100% now that is truly sucky.

The actually doubled base LA damage and so for those speccing LA to high levels, it has increased base damage a lot. You will see less style damage, but should see double base damage. It means you will be forced to sue diff styles Try the Positional styles, the taunt style is also nice. Damage should be comparable to DF, slightly less of course and thee taunt style uses 1/3rd the end.

Solid, with all the respect, and you know i like you, but who gives a shit about positional styles (snowsquall's good when chasing someone, but you lose so much end sprinting you won't be able to get if off after all, and the other isn't even worth considering(doubler)) and snowsquall doesn't come near the doublefrost damage.

that leaves comeback-frosty with frosty being a killer style (which offcourse you'll never get off.

include huge slash resists, the crit nerf you mentioned and you can conclude that zerk = door- and epic mob bashing

The facts first:

I got a so called Shadowzerk and I'm using axes. Left Axe is at 20 and Axe is at 19 and I got Envenom at 12. I got 8 unused points. All this at level 21 and with stealth on autotrain.

I wanna have fun in Thidranki and are thinking of two templates for that first Battleground.

1, Going with LA to 21 and using all of the points after that for stealth when I hit 24.
What will stealth end up at then?

2, Going with LA to 21 and then push envenom to 15 and the rest in stealth when I hit 24.
What items for envenom should I go for to get +5 to envenom?

Now some questions. Do I need to go to 21 with LA? Is the chain that good? Are fairly high stealth important in the BGs? How would you advice I should play as a shadowzerk? What items are "must-have" in the first battleground? What items are needed or adviced that I use to get +5 to stealth(at least)?

I can't wait to try this guy out and I really wanna be as prepared as I can to be efficent AND have fun. Come with all the suggestions you might have.

I once heard a fairly interesting template for the first BG....let stealth continue on auto and get high weapon and HIGH envenom. In other words...be a venomzerk!!!

What do you guys think?

first of all i think shadowzerkers should be banned from the game, die a horrible death, get revived and die even more horribly and then lobotomized and put in my computer room so i can kick the crap out of them every time i lose a fight

that being said, the chain isn't worth focusing on since the chances you have on actually finishing it are slim to none.
do take into account that the higher you spec la, the higher your damage will be so it is worth speccing laxe rather high

Doh Klav I'm so sorry you had a bad experience with one of us

However, Marcus75, although Klav does clearly not appreciate us zerkers at our fair value, he does have a point with chains: I get my second style from the combo about ... 60-70% of the time, which is not too bad, but I expect the 3rd one to hit about maybe30-40% of the time.

Given the expense in Endurance, I simply don't think it's worth it when soloing.

In a group, however, I'll often try to pull it up since I don't have the aggro anyway: it gives me a (slim) chance to do great damage.

I do have a question too: as I am impatiently waiting for respec (I am soooo gimped) I was wondering about the comparative advantages of speccing Sword/Left axe versus Axe/Left Axe. Same difference ?

I am leveling a SB to 24 for BG fun

Speccing

Left Axe 21
Axe 20
CS 10 (for Back Stab 2)
Stealth 16
Env 3 (What ever points I have spare after auto traing to 24 )

Using player crafted Cleavers 99% qual

Will try and get +5 in items for stealth CS and Env

It looks good on paper but only time will show

there are no swords with +laxe bonusses, and both axe and sword do slash damage

+laxe used to be neglectable up to this patch, where high laxe spec does get rewarded damagewise

you get other styles as well (duh).

But I did not know about the axes with +L Axe bonuses so that is good to know.

What if you spec dual wield and spec in hammer and left axe and use provoke from the hammer line. Can you even use it when dualing? Does it only give bonus damage to your hammer? I've never had a dual wielder so I wouldn't know.

The point, of course, would be the very low end usage of provoke, making you able to get it off many times with a full end bar. The damage isn't awesome.

Unfortunately the SB can only use slash weapons: sword or axe.

No hammer.

Why use hammer's provoke if you can use laxe's snowblind which is a laxe style and does more damage for an (i think) equally low end cost.


You can use styles from main hand and styles from the laxe line when dual wielding and the style damage only gets (afaik) added to main hand
