It was posted as an afterthought and really should have been done more appropriately.
Basically I loathed a lot of my time in DaoC, a lot of ex - UO players did too.
We like to develop the characters then play them, ideally in a community and preferably with goals for those characters. For me at least, DaoC didn't provide that.
It made me bitter and ratty a lot of the time
I'm not saying it was all bad in DaoC but being honest I'm far happier and more enthused with Shadowbane's potential.
Its not a long levelling train (suits some I guess to spend tons of hours levelling but not me), it allows you to build your guild city and become involved in the player made world. Expand, for alliances, use trade, diplomacy and subterfuge as weapons. PvP team v team that lasts for 5, 10, 15+ minutes bah I'm determined not to say 'SB is better than DaoC' as its a subjective viewpoint for each individual.
So... if these things sound appealing to u ( city and empire building, short levelling time followed by long gameplay, a game where your abilities in numerous fields can be used) then pay SB a visit.
If you are looking for a guild in SB pre release ( we have a number of players in beta already) then stop by http://hivenation.com and check us out.
