And I'll remind you of the Thames freezing over between the end of the 17th century and into the mid 18th century - as well as in Victorian times, and also of the Romans growing grapes in Scotland.

:touch:

Oh, and co2 levels do not precede raises in the temperature of the planet - they follow them, by a good 600-800 years.

I watched it and SHOCK I'm with Tom on the whole sensationalist bollocks. Quite funny was the Ad for 4x4....a big ol prtrol guzling monster to contribute to global warming...

and the music. I recognised most of it, but the only thing I remember is DJ Shadow being used a lot. The album is Endtroducing and the tracks were Midnight In a Perfect World and Buildng Steam With A Grain Of Salt. I think. That's what you're after!

what i found funniest(and believe me, im an enviromentally friendly liberal) was the assertion of "...the most/wors/biggest" or "hasn happened" + "since RECORDS BEGAN" which in some cases is about 100 years ago, and there's no doubt methods of measurement and observation have changed since they did begin. like a few hundred years is enough to call this stuff evidence.

I still find it quite bizarre that a mere 10 000 years after an ice age, people are suprised that the world is warming up. Besides, historically the earth has seen much worse than whats predicted, and came through allright. But then again, in the lentilist's eyes, species dying out = bad! They forget that it happens with our without human intervention.

Fucking love you Maxi. :wij:

The song is indeed DJ Shadow - Midnight In A Perfect World

I've been hunting for that song for a good couple of years now, hearing snippets on the TV (it's been used in one or two links for TV programs and also a couple of documentaries) and i've finally found it!

Absolutely love the sound of that phased Wurlitzer electric piano, one of my all time favourite sounds.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me with Midnight in a Perfect World. It wasn't on tv, but a website (to which I forgot the url) - loved the track just couldn't find out what it was.

Gotta say, I think The Private Press is better, but Endtroducing is awesome too.

Only just found out that it's a sample of a much, much better song by a Finnish jazz artist called Pekka Pohjola (whom I am a great fan of his stuff). I knew I loved that electric piano for a reason.

The song is called:

Pekka Pohjola - Sekoilu Seestyy

The name of the song translates into English as "the madness subsides". Fucking excellent song. Here's a sample of it.

The song starts off with that phased wurlitzer electric piano and then a wonderfully jazzy guitar solo lifts the song onto a whole new level. Fannytastic.
