setting up extra keyboard buttons in xp

with the pc i built, i bought a bog standard, cheapo £2 keyboard.
it has a power, sleep and wake up button on the keyboard, as well as a button labled "fu"
but i cant find anywhere in xp that lets me make these do anything:/
the keyboard didnt have any drivers, it was oem.

any help?

Look for the drivers on the net using google, it should make em work :)

You should be able to set what the power buttons do in the Windows Power Management settings. I think the buttons have standard key-mappings, so they should work.

No idea about the "Fn" button though, I'm afraid.

"Fu" is a key on some uber cheap keyboards that is used to fix the type-rate. It's something along the lines of "Hold Fu and press F1-F12". I don't think it does anything at all in Windows. I had one on my old keyboard.

Alternatively, it could be a key similar to the "Fn" key you find on Laptops, an extra custom function key. As to how you program that (if that is what it is), is entirely unknown though.

mine definatly is "Fu"
but i had a look in power management and couldnt find anything about the buttons:(
