Setting up BW Website?

Hmm, i notice when i look at some of the URLs people send, whether it be images or websites, they usually are barrysworld as in <username>.barrysworld.net

how do you get one? coz i just wanna have a place to store files coz geocities is been a gay fuck :/?

http://hosted.barrysworld.net Should point to the right place, otherwise look for a link off the main page.

This reminds me to work on my own site - I just can't find the motivation to do it :/

No, what it is, is that they `clear out' any unused sites. They'll probebrly be accepting new sites with in a couple of weeks, and then it's just a case of entering site name etc, and it's an automated proccess.

However saying that, it's proberbly best to use web space for what it's there for - Websites - rather than just using it as image hosting. My excuses for having no site are: I registered the space for an AHL guild site, then we couldn't be arsed in the end(*after i'd made a rough go on the site, and had it up for a while*), and then i decided i'd use the same space for my homepage, which has been half done for ages.

the games servers run in NT4... yeh? i dunt suppose that the webspace is hosted on IIS servers is it? it wouldn't happen to have ASP support perchance?

Wolfeeh: I believe the Hosting server runs Linux. I'm not sure whether that means they use really a small old box for that purprose, or they bought something big and expensive from one of the Unix retailers that now sell Linux servers.

Either way, it's not Windows, it's not IIS(thank god), and there's no ASP.

i'm gonna learn PHP when i have time, but right now... i don't need to learn ASP, i can transfer my VB skillz straight into it... i.e. useful for my HND project...
