Setting up a private server

Hi gang,

Need a little advise.

I've been trying to run a private server for myself and a few friends over the net, with limited success.

My configuration is as follows:
Connection is dual ISDN 128KBS
Processor 1.4gHZ P4 with a gig of memory.

Unfortunately I am having to run a dedicated server and a second session of Q3 (in order to play myself), on the same machine.

My question, or questions, is this:

Is it really feasible with this config to do this successfully?
If in theory it is, are there any tweaks I can apply to improve the performance?
If it's not a goer, what is the best way of setting up a private session over the net?

You're gonna need more bandwidth. You'll get about one person on the server... any more than that and it's going to be unplayable :/

You might be able to get away with it, but just server off the instance you're playing q3 on, saves on resources.
