Any1 running set grps in thid atm? Thinking of running 1 with some friends on hib . Would just like to here what thid was like atm.

I remember thid back in OF. No set groups, noone sc'd, only buffs came from grouped clerics/friars.

Keep changed hands every few days, was a lot more fun.

Some of you guys say that thid is so much more fun than real rvr. Surely it's the same thing, you possess such an advantage over most others you just steamroll them? :x

The advantage is not so great, no ToA, the rr gap is much smaller ect. The only advantave is SC and bots.

If you dont have a bot play classic imho or a vamp, if you dont have sc then invest a few days getting it

At this point I only have limited time to play but its easily possible to make a thid toon in about 4 hours from /level 20 to lvl 24 and fully sc'd.

People cant expect to /level 20 then run to thid in free armour and not die.

The difference is mainly in the timesinks. I can't be bothered with exping to 50, I can't be bothered with toa and I can't be bothered with DR, hence Thidranki is perfect for me. I don't have a bot either and I think Thidranki is about the only place where I can compete (solo) without a bot.

Another thing is that it's instant action all the time (if there's some people on). No need to wait ages for a full group: just invite a few friends and run out.

You've got an idealised vision of OF Thidranki anyway. People did have sc and there were guildgroups back then as well. Maybe they weren't as popular, but they certainly existed. Hell, I even think Nekrosniper's sb had a heat legendary back then.
