Wierd seems to be updating to 1.62 - thought that was gonna be in July

Now updated files but says my acct details are wrong

u need to change your update.dat file to this

ive done this and now it just plain cont connect to the update server

also tried pinging it and its all timing out

would be nice if they kept their site up and gave a reason :/ = got a day off work and settle down to some daoc and typical - its the day it all goes pear shaped at goa -- grrrrr

I loged on fine 3 times, just to see if it was a fluke, router problems at you're area ect?

Very strange.

I would seem that ive been patched to us server as it def dloaded 1.62

Calm down guys - server will be reachable again and you dont even know if its goas fault in this case.

If some ppl can still access the server then it might be a routing problem

Yeah having the same problem, but we wont be able to do anything until we can connect to the patch server. As Oblivion_6 said earlier do this...

u need to change your update.dat (found in SI directoy) file to this

Some people might have the same problem I did :

I kept changing the update.dat file but nothing happened, but then I realised there was another file called "update" - you see in my windows options I have hidden the file extensions and for some bizarre reason I had both an "update.dat" file and an "update.dat.dat" file - which was hard to see as the last .dat was hidden.

Hope you get what I mean.

Yeah I can connect now but all sorts of weird things happened when I downloaded the American patch. I also have loads of backups of the update.dat file flying around which could be part of the problem.

I also have two installs on daoc on my PC, one in English, one in French, as I regularly play on the French servers and all sorts of annoying bugs crop up if your server and client aren't in the same language.

I got patched to the American patch on my French install, which I managed to correct, but this also seemed to corrupt my English install - it wouldn't even start any more.

But anyway I'm probably the only person who has this kind of setup - so I'll stop boring you with all my problems now ;)

Hello,

To correct this error, you should reinstall the game and open your update.dt (using notepad for example), and replace everything by :

For DAOC
Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/camelot/mpatch.dat

For Shrouded Isles
Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat


This is due to a problem with the patching server. Hopefully this is now corrected. Sorry for the inconvenience.
