Seriously why don't mythic just delete armsman class?

what the point of being and s/s armsman nowadays honestly , it stinks, and tbh altho i know you pole whores out there will disagree, why have a poler either , they have been totally overlapped on both sides by paladins and mercenaries and it needs sorting, i know it's QQ but tbh it's pathetic the only lvl 40+ i have is absolutely fucking obsolete in any decent group set up.

Tbh is it the class or just people that mean that a rr8 (#1 on server) armsman cant get an rvr grp unless he makes his own with random ppl?

Personally I would have thought that be preferable to some lower pole arms, but alot of the better grps seem very stuck in their sense of whats needed for a good rvr grp, when lets be honest alot of the time its the players that make a grp good, not the classes. Yes a certain setup is better and you do need certain classes in but the remaining spots can be filled with various things, the grp just needs to adapt.

I guess thats just part of the attitude certain people have regards rvr

But hro does have a point, armsman doesnt bring anything to a group. Pallies bring the end, mercs bring the dmg, reavers... are looking cute with their fish face, and the old Highlanders just stand there...

Delete and move to Hibernia. Make a BM or a s/s Hero.

I think Champs in Hib have been hit pretty hard by lack of Det but they still seem to get rvr groups and are still effective. Maybe us Hibbies are less choosey when it comes to going rvr.

S/S Armsman rocks in PBAE group (Access to Det, great group RA, mucho blocking etc). You may have to use End regen pots for slamming but that ain't too much asked tbh ;p

I seriously dont see anything wrong with Armsman class. Maybe Xbow spec needs some improving but that's about it

Hmm yeah i have to agree on that Armsman isnt the best as slash/shield... but since i respecced to pole i've had so much funnier...

Now i do loads of dmg and im capable of both soloing and grping in rvr.

tbh i like my poles... to many fotm mercs/pallys

Only issue with Armsman is the broken double-speccing, else they are fine.

Unique issue, then we have all kinds of other stuff which is more or less general within some classes.

Solo'ing for 4 hrs last night before I could get an RvR grp (and that was with 3 guildies on a late night skirmishing run, nice run too tho' ). Two or three hours to get a random grp is normal.

It's just as bad in hib with non-fotm classes.
