Serious Sam Rip-off

Nice to see that Take2 Interactive have decided to rip-off British consumers once more.

In the states Serious Sam has a $19.95 price tag, just right considering that the game can be finished in a few hours.

However over here Take2 have decided that the normal pound for dollar conversion doesnt give them enough of an obscene profit margin so they appear to have put an RRP of £25.99 nearly double the price of the US edition.

Frankly I'm totally p*ssed off with this money grabbing attitude and I wont be buying a UK copy of Serious Sam. (However I accept thats an easy attitude to take when I'm going to Canada next week...)

Yeah guys calm down, only fools actually use the RRP. The RRP is there for political reasons between companies not too be the actual selling price.

Does anyone know if the game requires a CD Key?
Up_to_something.gif

Also, does it fit onto a standard 650mb CD or do I need to get one of those 700mb ones?

What spec PC do you need to realistically play the game at decent resolutions?

(I mean the REAL specs, not the wank ON THE BOX spec which is probably a PII-300, 32mb RAM and 8mb gfx card). Will a P3-600 and GF DDR on 128mb RAM do it????????????

Easy. It plays fine on my 2nd box which is P3@504, GF1 SDR, 256meg PC100. I doubt that the extra ram will mean more to the game than your extra cpu and vid mem bandwidth.

Strange. I popped into my local EB a couple of days ago, and Serious Sam was going for 20 quid, along with quite a few other new/recent titles that I assume aren't selling at all/too well.

Dunno why EB are selling certain titles minus VAT and others with VAT? Weird policy. Why not extend it to all titles, ffs?

Erm, Are we allowed to say anything bad about EB now? :)
