well isn't that a nice way to mess up an auction, putting in messed up bids and then withdrawing one of them (or was it half of them, i'm not sure)

AFAIR the last bid on the belt was 300 although i'm not entirely sure.

FYI in all auctions from Ebay through Sothebys its standard procedure and absolutely legal to withdraw your interest from an item, as long as the auction is ongoing.

Especially if you are not the highest bidder its very common (at that time I wasnt) to withdraw your interest.

You are only forced to buy an item or pay (by most serious auctions) a withdrawal fee (10-20% of price) if the auction is ENDED and you were the last/highest bidder.

Also its the bidders privilege to make a combine-offer by combining two or more items to achieve a better overall price and the sellers right not to accept such an offer.(In our case after etcetra responded I separated the offer and withdrew myself from 1 item)


So plz avoid comments like ...messing up an Auction... ,if you are not aware of the rules that apply to auctions worldwide.


BTW MY BID STILL STANDS FOR THE +11% ITEM FOR 1,3 P !

Why people dont like to listen and learn ?

I have sacrificed precious time ,just to explain and inform some ppl ,how auctions run(since is a part of my RL job).

If they dont want to listen ,because they have a wrong image in their minds ,of how a auction procedure works , its not my fault.
I hope you dont learn it the hard way !

Oh and if you closed the auction at my bid ,I would have taken the items.If you wait very long to close an auction (greed is a bad advisor most of the time),withdrawing of interest is a risk u have to calculate.
A neverending auction is a never done deal .

Anyway cba to explain more to people who dont listen and think they know all better !
