Selling a car

Has anyone sold a car recently ? What's the best way to do it in this day and age ?

I'm looking to flog my '05 ST170 and have tried eBay before but it's a bit of a lottery. Most eBay car auctions now seem to be by dealers rather than private.

Any tips appreciated. Ta.

My mum sold her car last week, they simply placed an advert in the local ad mag. Sold about 4 days after listing.

Dunno how much yet. I'm thinking 5 grand-ish (it's got full option packs and low mileage) but need to do some pricing up...
