Seeking reassurance before it's too late

Right as a blademaster it's a contraversial issue as to what skills to spec into. I have been told that in the next patch wep type spec will not affect damage done with CD...... which i have found no evidence of on the patch notes anywhere.

Thus i propose this spec and am seeking your view on it:

44 Blades (Yeah yeah crush blah blah..... I LIKE BLADES!)
44 Celtic Dual
44 Parry

This may look like gimping myself out of the top styles.... BUT!...
44 Blades gives me the third style in the fireblade combo, last style imo is pants
44 CD gives me the third style in the hurricane combo, last style comes from the icestorm combo (side style) which I don't see myself using in RvR.
44 Parry......well.......errrrrm.....should parry a bit i guess?!!

Please say I am doing the right thing, I am very insecure about my precious Blademaster <==notice it says Blademaster not Bluntmaster.

There is no 3rd style in the Fire-blade combo. The lvl 44 style Prismatic Blade is the 3rd style in the Horizon-blade chain, which chains of a block and thus seems a bit uselss for you ;)
I know many daoc-sites got this info wrong and it's pretty confusing, but if you look at the patch-notes from 1.50 you will find the correct info ( was changed in this patch - before it was the 4th(!) style in the return-blade chain).

Since that last style isn't that important for you I'd advice to drop blades a bit and put some points into shield, which gives you engage for enemy archers and will make you less of a pain to heal during your lvling ;)

As a clear dual weilder for god sake dont put any points in shield ur not going to use it.

I planned on dropping my parry a bit for my bm and increasing the CD & Blades to 45 for a bit more damage and parry doesnt seem to work in rvr at the mo.

Dont know anything about the blade skill not affecting your damage output from CD styles id be very interested to hear about that one. Cant see it though as we wouldnt have anything to spend all our points on :)

but hardly surprising considering this game was made by a company that have made an archer class, which, it is widely agree'd, get's more use from their meelee spear than their bow :)

off topic i know, but please fix hunters :)

"The archer of Midgard, Hunters worship Skadi, the Norse goddess of the Hunt. They have ranged combat skills, as well as the ability to hide, and even charm animals to do their bidding."
No mention of being a spear wielding loon there, but definitely mention of ranged combat... I'd say archer. ;)

hunters are "catcharming" freaks, then they hunt stuff to feed their cats... thats why they got a bow.

The spear is to pretend hib hero.
