Im hosting some files here on FH (daoc movies) but it seems that ppl post my links in other places than FH, and thats not cool with me, im doing this for FH and no one else, besides i dont have enough bandwith to support multiple sites.

SO.

Im lokking for a script that can determine if the downloader is comming from FH or from elsewhere, and only let the FH guy download the file.

Ive seen it done before, but cant remember wich site it was on, so im asking you for help.

yes it is possible, i only know how to do this with php/mysql tho

tbh ppl will just link to the forum then, so i suggest you don't waste your time on this.

noway freddyshouse will give you acces to their member database to check if a registered user is dl'ing from here, so exclude that option of control

If you do want to limit it just to the forums - do a search on google for .htaccess and the word referer should be some pointers there

thx mate, but like TiwiS said, then ppl are gonna just link to the forum, so im just gonna do what i do now.
