Seeking fletcher | MP price issue

i spoke with a skilled fletcher today about ordering a MP. The answer I got was more or less straight on.

"I dont take MP orders"

"How come"?

"Since you never get paid fully for the effort of making one"

"How much would a MP cost me then?"

"Around 10 p"


Is this what can be expected from all fletchers within our realm?

I don't see what the problem is...

I have never crafted myself, but as a crafter surely you just charge for the cost of the materials, and then the cost of the retries plus a fixed percentage for your time?

The cost is then what it is - if the customers don't want to pay then they could use drops or lesser quality items...

Or am I missing something?

Because people tend to forget that they ordered an item in the first place if the crafter comes with "erm, it, like, took 150 retries... that will be... uhm.. 15 platinum.."

What about asking them how much they charge per retry and then say something like:
"Ok I am willing to spend X plat, dont go over that limit even if you dont make a MP, but I want the highest qua item you craft."

Im sure no crafter would have a problem with that? If you dont get a MP it would just mean you dont have enough plat.

If the crafter still looses money from a deal like that I would say he gotta rethink his prices.

Hi Eragrim.
I dont post much here, but read a bit.
I have seen you have been after a fletcher for a while now.
Pm me in game, and we can see what we can come up with.
I charge per retry, and I take Mp orders.
But I would expect the price to be around 2p, depending on the luck with retries
