Seeing Servers

Anyone any ideas ?

Using gamespy I cant see the Barrysworld servers ? I used to be able to but now nothing --- oh and yes I am logged in and am a subscriber

Refresh your IP in the BarryLogon app, it's probably changed.

I haven't been able to see them for a good few days under ASE. I can see other subscriber servers fine.

I am having the same problem. I have rescanned my ip addy and are logged on when I start ase. Even the BW server browser doesnt show the servers either.

I would like to get a few games in on BW as I too am getting fed up of the TK'ers on the EA servers.

If you guys are looking for like minded (If more than a little insane) BF1942 players, you could check out battlefield1942.co.uk .

The forums will help you to find the servers with players interested in team play and strategy - rather than TK'ing and plane camping.

I went to battlefield1942.co.uk forums once, team play wasnt one of the things that I noticed within its community. The place looked to me as though it was full of retards (reminded me of the EA Forums), all arguing and bitching at each other.

I come to the conclusion that the only thing missing was a back window, having that many window lickers in the same place cant be healthy.

Oh and I forgot to mention the Mods over there are all 15 year old power hungry fan boys who think that they are some kind of god, all I have to say is fucking CS rejects.

On a serious note, it was just a suggestion. I keep looking at the BW servers and they are always empty. I get fed up the EA ones as you all obviously do and the Blueyonder ones aren't much better. I just happen to have got talking to a load of guys over there and we now have a bit of a laugh whilst playing a bit more as a team.

If you are not interested then that is fine.

To be honest I tend to look for the FF servers, although they tend to attract idiots I find them more realistic, servers that are not FF tend to just be a point and shoot affair, you dont have to worry about injuring your team mates so you can just shoot at anything that moves (kinda like quake), at least on FF servers you have to think before you shoot, and that bomb spamming B17 cant just drop its load and head off.

I played on a non FF server and the B17 just kept bombing and killing everyone while his team mates nicked all our tanks.

I played on a FF server and the B17 kept bombing everyone but ended up with a negative score because not only was he killing us, he was also killing his team mates trying to get the flag (a little more realistic)

I have only found one good FF server so far and thats the Lemming server.

The only thing I really like about non FF servers is the fact I can detpack the plane campers and blow them off the aircraft carriers, that really pisses them off

My clans server is nice and low UK pingage.

Look for Lemmings Server 1.2 in ASE etc.

A few [G] play on it a fair bit.

Don't knock CTF (I used to). IT's actually quite fun once you adjust to the different objectives.

Trust me, play engineer and you'll have a blast (pun intended?).

Its usually Conquest, its only ever in CTF if we have a match for CTF coming up.

So about 95% of the time its not CTF

Has anyone tried picking up a flag-carrier by buzzing him with a two-seater plane while he tries to hit E in time?

I just want to know if its possible before I spend the next month getting turned into mulch by Elhana.
