SE account expired

Ok maybe a dumb question - cos maybe I didn't read hard enough, but... should my SE account have expired already?

Its one from D2D and I have entered the key already (in order to activate) - what happened to the free month?

Its been played on for 1 day only, and just over a week elapsed.

Email from GOA said:
Your account blahblah97 was closed because the previous subscription period expired.

The war going on but you can still play a part in it. If you wish to purchase a new subscription period, please visit our website.

WTH?

Maybe it was me being dumb, or forgetting it rejected my SE Key (and only accepted my HS Key) because I re-added the key and got a 1 month subscription confirmation mail.

I have to say though, thus far, account management is DIRE if anything its WORSE than DAoC's was and that's saying something. I fear my encounter with the payment part of the account management pages will not be a pleasnt one.

What annoys me is, now the game is released, we don't hear MBJ promising EU will be fine, or apologising for it not being fine and promising to do something about it, whereas he was very vocal about "it will be ok, you will get the same level of service blah blah" up until head start kicked off.

Now that it has become clear that he was talking from out of his rear end he has fallen silent on the subject. Maybe he's gone to visit Requiel.

As for GOA I am currently ashamed at the quality of service given so far since release.

- Support Emails get answered maybe 2-3 days after they are logged with a stock (and likely unhelpful) response
- Account management is DIRE
- Website is crap (but we knew that already)
- WHERE IS THE REALM WAR PAGES?? - No word on this, typical silent GOA - expect it 2 years down the line
- In game CSR reports? LOL WHAT A JOKE they are. Logged two CSR requests, both were closed by GOA without any communication or answer. WTF?

Now come on GOA, pull your socks up!

Yes, I am venting a few frustrations atm :p

in response to your critique.

The SE head start grace period did end yesterday as announced. We had a issue where people were sent e-mails stating that their accounts had been closed although they were in fact active. For the vast majority, they'd still have access to the game though and it was merely a problem with an erroneous notification.

However, a small minority (less than one percent) of these accounts were actually wrongfully closed. This problem was quickly identified and resolved. I responded to and kept FH updated in this thread.

The payment pages are not yet online. They will similar to the ones we're using for the goa.com platform; trusted, well reputable and highly secure third party platforms will be used.

As to equal service, I will say this;

  • Both CE and SE head start were given to Europeans before Americans.
  • Three days of Open Beta problems resulted in seven free live days.
  • In Europe, when it became clear that the CE boxes would be delayed for a minority of those who had pre-ordered it, we gave an additional grace period week to all CE customers.
Realm War pages are scheduled for Europe at the end of this week. I announced this a week ago here at Freddys and in my WAR Updates post.

Regarding our CSR's, I've met the critique you are directing at us in a couple of posts already. See this and this for my response.

Hi Magnus.

Information like the Warhammer Updates should be a feature of the website not on fan or community forums. No wonder people get confused. Some people wont even know these forums exist. I myself tend to read WHA for dev updates but havnt seen many recently.

As for CSR issues, your posts didn't really cover why none of my CSR (in-game) queries get answered, they are closed without any communication, even the one asking why my CSR queries are closed without being answered, was, you guessed it, closed without being answered. NOT very good at all.

Also, any chance you can add the Authentication Failed - Application will now terminate issue to the update thread with an indication as to if Mythic are still looking at it or if they consider it "not their problem".

My open beta grace thingie expired and it keeps saying my CE key is invalid. (i forgot to enter earlier)
I cant access the subscription part. Basicly, i cant do anything. Bleh.

I just formatted this computer specificly to play WAR better, so none of my other games work at the moment and my other computer recently went from 'somewhat running' to 'overheating on startup'.

Bleh.

Combine with all the problems i had with preordering, entering the other keys, getting WAR open beta running, the technical issues and such it's been pretty much the worst ride ever. The game itself is great fun, which kinda makes it worse, because what good is a good fun game if you cant play it?

the pproblem is the CE keys are badly printed. just try swaping stuff like 5/S and 0/O round as the font they use for the key makes it hard to tell them apart.

Somewhere in the faq it said that the keys dont contain an O or an 0. Then i realised that that thing had to be either a B or an 8.
Other problem was something that was either a Z or a 2.

All together it took about 8-10 attempts to get the key right.
