Does anyone know if higher level mobs actually have a higher droprate for (rare) scrolls, or is for example the droprate on som3o3 the same on a lvl 55 and 68 mob?

its more dependant on type of mob than level, a lvl 55 of 1 type is just as likely to drop as a 58 or 1 type. its race/type over level, there was a site that showed satsts but i lost it ages ago!

all lvl 55+ mobs in typhons for example are supposed to drop all pages of all scrolls. just wondering if i should mass murder lvl 55's or go for higher level ones

I've farmed alot in Typhon's Reach after 1.75, found 2xMalice3/3 - 1xBattler Book and then only 1 MT2/3.. No other like SoM 3/3 which i wanted, so i actually dont think there is a droprate increase at all.

Purples have a better chance of dropping 3/3 than oj's.

Many 3/3s on US servers go for silly ammounts.

In my experience of heavy farming since the patch purples do not have a higher chance of dropping the 3/3 scrolls, I have 110+ hours of farming over the last 2 weeks under my belt and roughly 40% of the 3/3 scrolls I have had drop have come from red con (level 55) mobs. People are getting confused over the randomess of the drop system and misinterpreting what Mythic have stated which is that any mob level 55 or over has the same chance of dropping any scroll of the set from the Volcanus region. I have had Shades 3/3 drop off Taur Skopos twice and Mad Tales 3/3 off red con Setian Plebian, I have also had both drop off purple con Setian's and Taur and they came as advertised which is completely random.

Also as an example I had a single Taur kill drop ;

1x Shades 1/3
1x Mad Tales 2/3
1x Mad Tales 3/3

Now of course a triple drop is pretty much a one in million shot but it can happen and I have had double scroll drops (usually Ring of Fire and Bruiser ) happen 5-6 times now. The only predicatable thing about the whole system is that it is completely random and you can rely on that Btw I will post a screenie of that triple scroll drop later when I can find some hosting for the picture.

Purples have a better chance of dropping 3/3 than oj's.

Oranges cannot drop 3/3 according to Mythic as the orange level cap is 54, since patch I have never had an orange mob drop anything above a 2/3 and I have killed hundreds. I am not saying it can't happen but it hasn't happened to me and with the amount of orange mobs I have killed I would find it suprising if they could.

Hello,

Basicly the formule is that the higher the level of the mob the higher the chance is
it will drop _something_. This can be rogs or named drops or scrolls. So stricktly
speaking yes the odds of a scroll dropping from a level 58 mob are higher then of
the same mob but level 55.

I can't tell you the exact percentages though.

this this count for all over atlantis? or only in TR? as i been farming scrools in meso, need 3/3 and only yellow con mobs drop it:/ so should i go after the mob, or chceck for red con fish around meso?

Any mob can drop ANY scroll from that zone. It isn't level dependant as far as i know.

Me and a friend take a trio out (druid bot, chanter, verd ani) into stygia and we actively hunt the nomad camps. First pull we did after the patch consisted of about 50 nomands (np for a verd ani with heals). We got 2 x nailah 3/3 on first pull, along with other, previously rare(ish) scrolls such as lots of spears history, lots of kings vase etc. This is from a large camp of yellows. We were actually hunting bence scrolls, we got them eventually but in total we got more nailah books than bence scrolls.

ofc it is depending on level, you cant get a 3/3 from something less than red con so most likely has stygia not yet received the same treatment as volcanus/aerus did with their scrolls dropping from all mobs

ok this is what CSR (sp?) told when I asked about scroll dropping.
He told that 55+ mobs are ONLY mobs what drops 3 of 3 (don't think same on oceanus / meso mobs ). No matter what mobs you kill coz the droprate is same ie. before patch Cyclops Skotos dropped LS 2o3 better chance than others... not anymore.
and those who doesn't know the droprate goes like this 1of3 drops more often than 2of3 and 2of3 drops more often than 3of3.

reading never was my forte

Messo Zone was not changed as far as im aware, due to the fact that most (not all) the cons u farm are blue yellow with some o/j and red.

It was changed to make the Scrolls in Stygia desert regions, the Vulcanos regions, and the Green Glades regions etc more avilable to others.

On the amussing side all I ever seem to get is Flask 3 of 3, getting sick of them, just glad there is a fire in me house to chuck them on.
