Lo, well my screen keeps refreshing when playing DAoC. I'm sure it's for the good but it's so damn annoying. My GF MX400 probably doesn't help but i had to insure my car so i'm skint.

Is there anyway to turn this off? What happens is the screen goes black for a second or two then goes back to normal, sometimes this can happen every 3seconds so i can barely see anything. Thanks

Well i'm always keeping my drivers up-to date. I recently DL'ed the 91.31_winxp2kmce_english_whql to see if i had any improvements. None what so ever. So i rolled back to the 84.21 and still no improvements.

Recently i bought a new harddrive. DAoC was better on my 5year old 7gig harddrive rather than this one.

i would suggest trying to upgrading to the newer version. despite what it says on the box it does leave some of its files behind unless you use a driver cleaner before installing the older version ones.
Alternatiely upgrade, use a driver cleaner then instal the older version
I had the same problem with my new 7900Gtx until i installed the newer drivers

any driver removal tool will do but heres some that are free :)

I used this when going from Ati to Nvidia:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3233

this one is probably better for you:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3214

or this one, be careful you dont inadvertantly edit drivers by mistake when using this one:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=865

Also if you have a modded version of the gfx card (such as BFG, MSI etc) make sure you use the driver provided (if it is) by the manufacturer who made the card, they often tweak drivers for their "brand".

Thanks, i downloaded & cleaned. Reinstalled the lower drivers and it stopped my computer from freezing and giving the blue screen of doom! Thanks mate :) I'll live with the odd refreshing.

I had this problem i think with any drivers 8x or the new 91 drivers. version 77.77 seem fine without any problems they might stop the refreshing problem you got.

Ok, so with the 77.77 I get render creation failed. Could this be to do with DirectX? I'm using DirectX9 C afaik.
