Scouts?

Hiya, can someone post some advice here about scouts?

I'd like to be a scout with great bow damage and partially good melee defense.

Race: Saracen
Starting points: 15 dex - 10 quickness
Final spec: 46 bow - 36 stealth - 29 slash - 42 shield
Possible items/artifacts?

Is this any good or? Should I do something else?

dont put any points into quickness!
there is a quick cap at 250, and you will reach that very easily with a buffbot and decent EQ.
Put it into str insted since you are going slash.
about artifacts, if you plan on caping +archery dmg and such go for : GSV (golden scarab vest), Mariasha's Sharkskin Gloves. other then that just pick artifacts that you think will fit you well

Final spec: 45 bow - 36 stealth - 29 slash - 42 shield (21 pts left over)

and you need to autotrain to level 48 to get that spec too
