No .. im not nerfed THAT much.

Sure they took away my stealth, etc. but i can still have fun in emain for sure.

I didn't run with people tonight, or atleast not most of the time, and i actually managed to earn 7.6k realmpts in 4 hours. I wonna thank all the assasins for a good fight. Some very close, and some they won - and some i won .

Happy to see that i can play without stealth, just need a bit sneaky.

Thx to Lopez for a CLOSE and NASTY fight, and Miss for all the zerg and kisses.

Thats the reason why scouts and infils got a hard time getting grps in PvE....
First they go complaining about noone want to grp with them in xping. and then in rvr they dont want to grp=)

I think someone (like me I guess) should add the best example on how to handle the see-hidden n3rf towards all non assassins..

Anyone remember eleasias' playstyle pre-1.50 ? he sneaked around like the bastard he is, and waited patiently for the best time to shoot at ppl.. Almost always solo, and he did great..

Now, he always groups, mostly with guildgroups.. And its perfect to have a sniper in group, they got nice range and deal more dmg/sec than most tanks and maybe even some casters, if they are allowed to stand behind the rest and pump out arrows, coz they dont have to move around much. They can just stand there at a rather big distance and interrupt 2-3 casters/healers at the same time if they want.

Sub is right, I've grouped a few times with Elea the last time. My conclusion: A PvP-group without an archer is not an optimal group. How many arrows does a decent archer need to drop a caster? With bt and buffs 4 or something, but most often a lot less.

In conclusion, any group that turns a ranger/scout/hunter down is making a big mistake and so is of course any ranger turning down invites from a group.

My intention with this post is not to call rangers who like to solo stupid ( I bet they still can have fun alone, which is what matters in the end) but to highlight the usefullness of a ranger in any group.

Perhaps I should mention that a decent ranger can hold out against a tank for some time. Often long enough to get assistance.

your lucky you mainly face shades, they are a lot weaker....

trying to survive an attack from a lvl 50 infiltrator is damn hard work.... (impossible without ip I would almost say)

one of hibernia's bad points is we dont have enough lvl 50 shades.....

Soloing as a ranger (as oppossed to a Scout) is very very risky.

But I still like my character and I think I am still just about glad I rolled one....

When I go solo in emain (rare event these days), I get jumped by an assassin every 10-20 minutes or so.

Slam saves my arse (normally after a purge, most use paralyze), and i run - but i cant hide. Any other enemies nearby => automatically dead me.

You have your speed, in combination with purge that should suffice for same sort of getaway as mine.

As for camoflage:
It wont help me get the playstyle back, for which I mae my scout: Solo sniping. 10 minute timer makes it far to risky to be fun (and viable).

Result:
The scouts that noone wanted to group with are now barely accepted into rvr groups cuz they cant contribute shit (compared to most other classes as nukers healers cc'ers etc.) I cant think of a class that is as shunned in rvr groups as scouts - and with good reason.
Scouts are now 2. rate nukers, 3. rate tanks, have no AoE, CC or groupenhancing abilities. In short: I feel useless.

I got a bit sad today.

SBs kept killing me .. even a ELF ns (ELF I SAY!) managed to kill me.

So i kept a few hours off, saw tv - played a bit, off to tv again etc.

I've played 8 hours today i think.. i managed to get 30k realmpts. Much if u ask me .

Daoc will never be the same again, i wont pay my next pay-thing, untill pvp comes.

I need to solo, grping isn't an archers job. My longbow is uber slow, and the zerg kills the target before i manage to shoot one arrow .

Assasin vs. me: 50/50
If i meet an assasin, it's 50% of the time me using TS, therefore killing him/her, or me being plane stupid, and getting killed.

Anyone else think this attitude is what is wrong with Albion? I mean really, if you feel like in order to grp you have to be forced to do it then you don't belong in a game where grouping is one of the main features of the game. Try playing a nice platform game...or maybe tetris where you don't have to think of anyone but yourself okies.
