maybe stealth above 50 will affect how easy you are to see with see hidden?

Stealth above 50 doesn't help at all against characters that are the same level as yourself. But 55 modified stealth will help against a mob that is lvl 55.

Rvr, 50 stealth is the optimal(some people say that RR5 means that 51 stealth would be optimal, but I have yet to see tests proving it.)

Pve, stealthspec according to mob level, but I certainly wouldn't spec stealth for pve..

Oaklief tested all of this(except the RR5 thing I think), so the stuff that's in that link isn't correct.

Stealth affects See Hidden, but stealth above 50 does not help as long as the character WITH See Hidden is only lvl 50.

Detect Hidden range is calculated with character level of detector vs Stealthspec of hidden char.

See Hidden detection range is calced the same way, it just increases the detection range, but is still modified by stealthspec of the hidden target.

Level 50 assassin hunting a 50 spec archer/minstrel,
Detect Hidden range = 250 + 50*0 = 250
See Hidden range = 2700 - 36*50 = 900
And the maximum of the two is used. (650 difference)

Level 50 assassin hunting a 40 spec archer/minstrel,
Detect Hidden range = 250 + 50*10 = 750
See Hidden range = 2700 - 36*40 = 1260 (510 difference)
And the maximum of the two is used.

Level 50 assassin hunting a 30 spec archer/minstrel,
Detect Hidden range = 250 + 50*20 = 1250
See Hidden range = 2700 - 36*30 = 1620
And the maximum of the two is used. (370 difference)

Level 50 assassin hunting a 20 spec archer/minstrel,
Detect Hidden range = 250 + 50*30 = 1750
See Hidden range = 2700 - 36*20 = 1980
And the maximum of the two is used. (230 difference)

Level 50 assassin hunting a 10 spec archer/minstrel,
Detect Hidden range = 250 + 50*40 = 2250
See Hidden range = 2700 - 36*10 = 2340
And the maximum of the two is used. (90 difference)

Level 50 assassin hunting a 4 spec archer/minstrel,
Detect Hidden range = 250 + 50*46 = 2550
See Hidden range = 2700 - 36*4 = 2556
And the maximum of the two is used. (last point SH is higher)

Level 50 assassin hunting a 3 spec archer/minstrel,
Detect Hidden range = 250 + 50*47 = 2600
See Hidden range = 2700 - 36*3 = 2592
And the maximum of the two is used. (DH is now higher)

Level 50 assassin hunting a 2 spec archer/minstrel,
Detect Hidden range = 250 + 50*48 = 2650
See Hidden range = 2700 - 36*2 = 2628
And the maximum of the two is used.

Level 50 assassin hunting a 1 spec archer/minstrel,
Detect Hidden range = 250 + 50*49 = 2700
See Hidden range = 2700 - 36*1 = 2664
And the maximum of the two is used.

Note that the higher the stealth of the archer/minstrel, the more SH does for the assassin.

- Oaklief

Camouflage ON for an archer means that the assassin is limited to Detect Hidden ranges on stealth detection.

Camouflage OFF means that an assassin with SH gets a bonus in detection range over Detect Hidden.

is see hidden worth getting after the nerf, for an infy ?

Not if you expect it to work like it did. But it's still a big advantage at high archer stealthspecs compared to detect hidden. How that value is measured against it's cost I won't speculate in.

I don't have an assassin, but I wouldn't get it. Not only because of the SH nerf, but also because I feel detect hidden should be enough of an advantage when looking for hidden characters.
