been searching for a nice but most have som Rog and impossible to find.

My post on critshot:

Lo all,

I've been puzzling the last few months and with help from some ppl here (and some mates on excal) i made myself 2 builds.
I've put those on the url mentioned below:


Raguel Cheap S&S equipped
Raguel Exp S&S equipped
Raguel Cheap Bow equipped
Raguel Exp Bow equipped

The 7-9th slot is not mentioned on the build mainly cuz i totally forgot to put that option on in the sc-builder (but they r accounted for in the config).


A few remarks about these builds (mostly on cheap build):

-the use of spectral soul anchor cuz i can change it easy with sun sword

-i dropped some resists on the cheap build; reason? since i mainly play small groups or solo i don't need crush resist that much (no other assassins using that). I also dropped matter and spirit as least important resists.

-i'm 4 ptn from hits cap and i couldn't cap con by 7 points. I can cap both hits & con if i drop stealth and bow by 1 pt, dunno what would be better.

-decided to import desmona's neck (cuz i have it and cuz of nice stats + speed bonus

-decided to import krojer's dex ring cuz of dex cap mainly and the str/con bonus charge (if i get debuffed)

-the expensive build is a bit better but i'm still hesitating on the use of the desmona neck/ancient copper and the krojer's dex ring or the zahur ring (<- wishful thinking to get one of these).

Best scout TOA template is at the character selection screen, highlight the scout character, press Delete, then type Y-E-S.
Mythic hates scouts.

I have been looking at the scout template and is fookin hard to create a decent one with 10% archery speed, range, 25 dex and quick cap etc.

So if anyone has one please let me know.

Quick is capped at 250(very very marginal increase in evade above i think),
so char quick+ra quick+item quick+93 quick(max BB) should be as close as
posibel. Many has a few levels of quick for dodger which means item quick should be around 50 or so. Basically you get nada for points above 250.

99 % of all archers should use the power of heat legendary, problem
is its only good against assasins. Sun weapon is a nice weapon, but
only real good use is against other archers and it can be frustrating to summon and it cost imbue points. I think best to go for legendary heat
main and a normal weapon/malice/battler as backup. Maybe get a cold legendary for fighting other archers.

Most enemy assasins using legendary weapons will go for heat legen + cold combo because of sc problems, which means spirit/matter resists might be downsized. If i had sc problems i would lower spirit a bit, but in no way go
below max in energy and cold.

Thrust is also a thing to consider since legen weapons ignore normal armor
resists. Yes it has slighty worse styles(defense penalty), but it use your main stat as damage and sting/beartooth might be a good combo.
75 dex + 75 str = (75+26) dex + 49 str in melee, the later has better bow ws.
Most scouts go 29+ slash, but thrust is an option to consider.

+shield = 0,5 % pr level and against assasins 0,25 % pr level. This is probaly
modified some by dex but if 42 shield as most scouts, +shield would be the
lowest priority on +stat.

A good sc shield is +5 shield/weapon and +22 str, and remember buckler is
much better than small shield.

Speed = raw damage for an archer, try to get it close to max.

Some dropped armor items in toa has very high utility and good ablative,
if they can fit in they will be nice.

I think to play a scout in toa you need to make a choice regarding assasins.

1) Disable the suckers with snares, stuns, zephyr, beetle proc, winged helm,
and concentrate on improving bow.
2) Try to melee them, SoM, debuffs, purge, ip, legendary heat.

It might be hard to fit 1) and 2) into a sc and 2) requires very high rr.
Remeber archers are 2 type class, which means you improve bow, you
decrease melee. All toa'ed assasins have become stronger in melee, you
have become weaker compared.

The key is ditching the right resists. Save body, matter and melee. The rest you can have at ~15%.

iirc, %archery speed is impossible to get past 6% with the items we have now..

does anyone know what the effect is on +%archery speed?
will it affect your damage overtime and and critshot damage?
got a scout alt myselve wich i may ding 50one day and prefer getting max damage out of my bowskills
