Scout overspecced in Longbow question

Hi all,

I am planning to keeping Longbow at my level for my Scout.

Will I do the same damage with Longbow a bit below Longbow and take it up to level with +longbow items ?

Or is it better to keep it up to level and and have the +Longbow items make it overspecced ?

Does it give extra damage ? Is it worth it ?

Going overspec does increase damage, but its law of diminishing returns. You get less dmg improvement per point over 50 - but its still more. If u want the ultimate in bow dmg then u want 50 bow + 11 from items + RR. Course u may be willing to settle for a little less bow dmg for a little more stealth or melee skill - thats up to u.
Saracen 15dex & 10qui at start is best for bow also. But prolly makes u an assasins 1-hit wetdream...

There are rumors of added damage even above the +11 cap from items. Looking into this atm (but celt wont lend me the sleeves the greedy bugger - he knows i wont give them back )
