[Scout] Melee ToA temp.

Hey all, this is my 1st draft of a scout melee ToA temp on Temair.

The idea of the temp is to use alot of "key items" to bumb my damage absorbtion as healthregen to outlast my opponents.

As you can see I'm using ml10 vest, WH, SoM, RoD, Snegli shield, Mad scalar ( abs proc ) to try and mitigate enemy damage. I also got a Greater health myth on this scout and running with crafted health regen pots. Only down side is the resists in energy imo wich is lower then I'd like but to raise that even a slight bit would mean loosing RoD and possibly rework the entire jewelry base and therfore loosing ToA stats/over caps.

Weapon/bow wise I'll use Galvornes bow (125 hot with very high proc rate ) and LW's/ Golden spear [loosing 15% matter but using it only vs Visuals with high passive/buffed resis].

I will also have cap bow speed since at 408 dex (dex II ) you do not need any toa haste at all to cap the draw times in 1.88.

The spec I'm pondering to use is 44 thrust, 33 stealth, 34 bow (2nd to best BP shot after slams ), 42 shield ( With MOB3 gives me 72%ish block ).

Any constructive critisism is welcome :)

Seems alright, although I don't see why you'd bother with a melee template when archery love arrives.... iirc scouts lose PD then?



Edit: not that i'm saying your going to die a horrible death just because PD was taken out :p

In 1.89 archery is nerfed, and a melee temp with a hybrid spec is better over all, you get the burst dmg from slam + pb pb pb and the oped melee mode.

PD have never been an essential RA for archers, any stealther/soloer worth his name would change to LWs as soon as they notice hits with 89-(250) in them.

Anyway is there anything I could possible improve? Change of jewlery, rework SCed parts etc? I would really like more energy resis QQ

LW's haven't 2% melee dam bonus (almost on 1.87)

Well what do they have then? +10 af and +2% in either melee dmg or style dmg, I can't really tell since its in german >.<. Anyway the point isn't to have high toa style/Melee dmg bonuses in this temp then I'd be using GoV / CL weapon instead.


More comments around the temps and what could be improved would be appriciated.

not bad, id suggest putting in the ML9 small shield with heal proc, goes of tones, and is very handy! and personally i would up cold resist, lots of stealthers use dual ledgies, and duel cold ledgies will hurt u big time! i would also attempt to make it main-hand free, as u will be using TD alot imo :)

Snegli has superior stats to ml9 shield and heals for 250 hits.

17+10 cold is 27%, iam 5% weak to cold and 5% weak to matter. I have chosen to balance all resists out so I'm not particualry weak in anything then very strong in say, melee, cold and matter and fuck spirit for exampel. And I don't need to template TD in since it litterally do NO damage at all, so not having 101/101 in str/dex won't even be noticeable on a 3.4 spd thrust weapon fighting sbs/hunters and whatnot with 30+ melee resis.

Donno If you read my reasoning inthe ned of the post but the template is sorta maingand free, I swap GS/LWs with only loss of 15 matter, and visual players use physical weapons to 90% so having low matter will hardly count ( hopefully! ).

i will kill u, jus Mrthe will die first! buying all my MLs soon as well, i also found out at end of last night i had my mouse all bound wrong due to playing a valk before...not like that would have saved me anyway :)

If people notice they get low nummbers on me from cold the swap to heaters/matters/spirit, the idea is to have balanced resists so that whatever weapon they use they wont get + nummbers on me.

And about that TD, I got TD but and as you said yourself I will only use it VS tanks mostly so when I swap in TD I loose matter resis + thrust resis from not using GS / LW, I also loose 10 str but as I agreed on its not the dmg I want from it but the mists so no loss there.

But your both right, higher resis would be nice but then I have to take some of the key items out to make room for high UV items.

And taking out WH will cripple more then a abit lower resis then i'd like. Taking out RoD means no 1000 range crit shots on ppl ( making it possible to wtf pwn multiple stealthers with a high dmg opener ). Taking away ml10 BP / Snegli means less healing/ dmg absorbtion wich goes against the idea of my spec.

Really I can't see how I can improve the template, none of the kraken or levi items fitin either :/..Maybe if I lowered the overcaps but then I could just scrap them all together and get more artis and better resis all over, right Oo.
