lo peeps,getting bored with me games of late so im after buying something new,last game i bought was cod.i like fps so any ideas what i should get also

I like battlefield vietnam, very fun game
I'm not sure if theres a demo, I downloaded the game before buying it as I always do, not that I condone it or anything, I just like to test a game before buying.

If you like first-person games, there's two you might be interested in at the moment:

First off, in the mindless-violence category, there's Painkiller (demos). Good blast, think Serious Sam with a physics engine and sexy graphics.

Or, if you're into something a bit more cerebral, Thief 3 is getting near to completion and should be out around the end of the month. Hopefully it'll be every bit as good as the previous 2 games.

I got both UT2004 and BF:Vietnam. BF:V is fun but ultimately pointless unless you're in a clan and Ut2004 didn't hold my attention much.

Mr Mesmer has a GF4 Ti4600 and he said FarCry ran less than well. Get a DX9 card.

On low settings I would imagine it would run, the demo ran on my p4 2.0 gf4 ti4200 with low(ish) settings but I think it would be worth getting anyway

Upgrading would mean not spending money on bikes, so it isn't an option. I'll just give Farcry a miss...or get someone to download the demo for me, so I can give it a try.

I'll go with the demo testing then...or is the demo un-optimised code which runs more poorly than the full game? Choices, choices. I should finish off Painkiller and NWN first anyway.
