I think he's overrated anyway. Lampard or Gerrard are waaaaay better. :)

He knows that he's shite compared to Lampard and that the only place in the first eleven he'd get is wide out on the left.

Good riddance if it means Lampard can become first choice.

Methinks Ferguson has hard a word with him, pointed out the Butt leaving, and suggested unless he puts Man Yoo first he'll be heading the same way. A decision he will, imo, live to regret.

What's the betting when Sven goes some other manager will 'persuade' him to come back to international football?

Its a shame, there may be competition for that position, but thats a good thing. Gerrard, Lampard and Scholes should be fighting for a place against each other. 29 is a stupidly young age to retire. Good news for Man Utd though.
