I know that some of you guys are dog people. Fair enough. I`m more of a cat guy, I always had at least one cat since I was a kid.
Zapping through the TV channels last night, I got stuck at one of those cheesy Rescue shows where people are being rescued out of dangerous situations and stuff. This time it was all animal rescues though. The story that caught my eye was the one of a cat that got caught in a fire and instead of escaping, it went back into the fire five times (!) to rescue her kitten. Despite being severely wounded by the fire, she (and four of her ktitten) survived. I was stunned, amazed and touched by this cat so I did some google research and it turned out that this case was well known. The cat even has a wikipedia entry, covering her story.
So in case you don´t know the story, here it is:
