It drops a necky with alike effect, but Power+3 instead of Health+6. Wonder if there's a Endurance+? necky...

Same things was said before DF went live, whine whine don’t need to go item hunting when you can buy anything in DF etc.

Same thing was discussed on the US boards before SC went live over there, and now everyone is hunting uber mobs in SI.

I don’t think SC will ruin the boss mob hunts to any great degree.
I'm going to SC all my gear for sure, but far from everyone will afford to do so, I agree that jewellery crafting (if it ever goes live) might damage the boss mob hunts more due to the fact that allot of "UBER" drops can be replicated with SC.

The best side of SC is that finally the armour crafters and tailors are going to get a market for their high lvl items, epic armours made tailoring/ac nearly worthless.

Weapon crafters and Fletchers can already make the best weapons in the game apart from uber drops, and I guess most people get a crafted weapon and use it till they get that uber drop.

A good side effect is that there will be more good drops around for those who can’t afford SC gear and don’t have the time to farm for drops.

sc hurts caster-rvr badly

Every decent tank will have 26% resist to everything + the group resist chants etc when grouped.
Take a look at:

  • Runemaster with MoM2 (+6% dmg): 189 (-252) damage
  • Spiritmaster with 50 supp and MoM2: 49(-355) damage
  • Spiritmaster with lifedrain, Wild Power 1: 179(-219) damage

resistance buffs for the whole group on a timer instead of conc hurt casters far more than sc.

judging by the vn boards (admitidly iffy) it seems that resists are also based on the level of the spell, as well as, or instead of the level of the caster around sc, this means that with high basic resists, plus this factor anyone who is using spec dd (lvl 45) and other lower lvl spells is going to have a lot more outright resists as well as the damage reduction, its this that worries me most about sc, sure casters have probably been too powerful initially, (arrrgh chanters arrrgh) but ra seemed to balance that, now the balance will be swung a long way in favour of tanks something that i think will ruin the game

also agree with censi on the point that its gonna be far more dull farming mobs then walking to a crafter, than battleing your way past legions of beasities then slaying something like the dragons
(i just pray we can never craft respec gems)

I have 32 heat/cold
hib casters nuked me for 400-500 with those relics, now they do 300-350
runemasters do 250-350
you must be really stupid if you believe someone does 49 dmg with lvl 50 nukes

we now do 91% of previos nukes so 400 cant go down to 300 and 500 to 350^^

2merbos df &sc arent comparable with sc u CAN cap all resist and stats(ok Most) and df only has nice amulet&jewel that u could buy

but yeh i agree, same way the introduction of DF devalued all the "rare" drops u had strived to aquire through the course of the game. in fact all non-epic mob drops are pretty much shit in comparison. after SC your better off spending the time it would have taken to get that rare drop farming cash and having something SC'd. not sure what the Mythic grand plan is really. i spose make crafters and crafting desirable and cash have some value i guess, i.e. stimulate the "economy". as well as make RvR fights last longer.

Being very honest, I thought the same thing about epic armor when that came in...

Think bout the times before 1.50 when epic mobs dropped ace stuff, barrows did too, as well as the dragon etc etc but then in came epic armor and no1 bothered...

Epic armor became the rage and indeed still is. Then DF came in to add more mobs to kill for even better than epic.

Now after DF they are bringing in spellcrafted to make even better....then SI to make em even better

Basically they are evolving the game. If it was the same from day1 then we would still all hunt epics, hunt eternal midnight in barrows or whatever but I like the fact that even the people who have been here since day 1 are still getting new things coming in to experiment with...Its something new and dont worry, when Si comes in, yer drop hunts will be even more popular....think, will have dragon, legion, princes, all the cool stuff in Si as well as the crafting, epic and stuff for all the boring people <j/k>

Think when you get an ace drop from legion or from Si places which will still b better than Si, just 1 in 500 chance of you getting a drop per raid cause of number of attenders etc etc BUT once you get that new drop, would u redo your SC armor? It's gonna get very costly and i don't think everyone will do it tbh
25 plat for masterpiece plate suit (i think) added with SC......youch!!!

Don't worry bud, it's just part of the cycle thats gonna carry on going, drop hunts are far from over :cool:

when you get those insane -dmg's its because someone used the 30sec boost to magic-resists-which-i-dont-remember-the-name-of.

High lvls of it too
