Raw = 12c
Uncut = 15s
Rough = 1g 28s
Flawed = 6g 45s
Imperfect = 23g 28s
Polished = 61g 18s
Faceted = 104g 96s
Precious = 157g 44s
Flawless = 230g 31s
Perfect = 294g 20s

saw that on this wierd forum, and as i dont know what to charge, i thought it looked good, or isit too much ?
The prices are per gem and not item

294g for a perfect gem is way way too much imo.

base cost of a +28 stat is 29g, estimated price for a 99% qual (using leladias, which i think assumes average luck) is about 80g.

so if u do get average luck then ur profit for a few mins work is about 214g. dont think ppl will pay that :)

can u redo the table for me plz.
the prices that you would charge each person for each gem :p

or maybe i should work it out another way, like 2x total cost

atm i'm using this system organised per item

1g/level on not 50-stuff and no overcharge at all
example: 1 lvl 40 sword costs 40 gp to sc

75 base and 25/oc-point on 99% stuff lvl50-51
example: sabre with 33.5/28 -> 75+5*25=200 gp

75 base and 30/oc-point on mp stuff lvl 50-51
example: sabre with 37.5/32 -> 75+5*30= 225 gp

This works fine to me, very easy for ppl to know how much they gonna pay and keeps me free from lots of mathmatics....

http://theharms.org/daoc/sc-calc.php

it gives expected cost and there is an option in it somewhere to add xxx% markup.

Forget the General X% markup in Options & leave ALL Unchanged

1:

Item quality - 99%
Item level - 51

Gem 1: Stat - 22
Gem 2: Stat - 22
Gem 3: Stat - 19
Gem 4: Hits - 36

33.5/28 - Imbue Points
Overcharge - 30%

Cost Material x1 - 57g 9s 40c
Estimated Price - 309g 24s 80c

Expect to Pay - 310g

2:

Item quality - 99%
Item level - 51

Gem 1: Stat - 19
Gem 2: Stat - 19
Gem 3: Stat - 19
Gem 4: Hits - 20

28.5/28 - Imbue Points
Overcharge - None

Cost Material x1 - 40g 29s 0c
Estimated Price - 80g 58s 0c

Expect to Pay - 81g

By using Leladia's calc V.2 (best out there) & using this pre-set formula then all customers that have made their own config using this calc will know exactly what they should be expected to pay..

Alternatively should you feel lucky then Cost Price + Customer Tip, although spending 2+ hours on a BG suit & then being tipped 50g is kinda pants ;)

Since cost material mostly isn't very high with spellcrafting, you can't use a formula x2, x3 etc. Spellcrafting is totally different from WC, AC, etc...

My way of calculating prices is especially time based. I know that for a full suit overcrafted I spend about 4 hours. Some say you can farm 1 P/hour so as a player you have to decide what is acceptable in your situation. How much can you farm in 1 hour.

Then you have to calculate how much it costed you to get to legendary and add some percentage of it to your farm earnings.

Then you have to add the real material cost.

Then you have to add your profit factor.

And then you have your sell price.

I always use a fixed minimum starting price per jewel, even for the lowest ones, because the time I spend to them is mostly the same time I spend to high level jewels. It's not the crafting time which is time consuming, it's the preparation work which is time consuming and the number of retries.

Just got a 37/32 OC done... The SCer charged 63g, how lucky was I? (Paid 100g coz it was too unfair for a SCer to do such a job and asking sooo little cash oO)

Noche, you were very lucky. Good that you gave him a tip.
I'm sure, only very few people are as lucky as you were, but that's not your problem.

You must know that 1 run for the cheapest stones cost 36 G, 37IP (if you needed a staff with 3 foci e.g., it would cost 118 G).

So this means that your crafter had to do less than 2 complete runs to get 4 x 99 % stones ? Gratz for him too then !

Where can u farm 1P an hour?? I'm moving there....
Df is good for farming, but never heard anyone make that kind of cash..

Get a good Dia group and go farm at the spot just behind gatekeeper Dommel, easy to get 1p an hour there if the group is effective :) (just be sure to handle the duke when he's pulled sometimes with care ;))

Pala+buffbot+ <insert random offensive tank here> = 750-1.5p an hour depending on luck in DF

Or trio princes with 3 palas :m00:

Hmmmmm, you need DF to have room to move to be able to make any decent amount of gold.

Last night, after 1am UK time, 150 in DF. Very few (if any) of those would've been making a respectable amount of gold/seals.

the average price for a full set of 32 jewels for a 5 point oc all 99% is about 800-900g then you have the 2-3 hours making time so cost + 200g per hours is about fair so for a full 5 point 32 jewels oc job about 1.8p per set i belive is a good price

dont think there are many wanting to do sc for 200g/houre.
Not Worth The Time

and a full set =8-9part of oc's take a bit more then 3houre atleast for me but i havent done so many set's yet.

my prices for OC
1.8p mage sc gear ie 7 pieces
2.1p anyone usin more than one wep slot
without overcharging if i like you :p prob be 100-200g ontop of cost of materials

i think these prices are fair your mainly paying for sc who lets face it really cba sittin there for 3-5 hours to Spellcraft if you want it done you need to give the crafter an incentive to do it i.e. a nice lump of cash or seals or whatever they after :) works for me :)

Almost 1p for 37.5/32 items gems? Not likely anyone's going to pay 8p to have their set SC'd.
