if you already have 1000+ trade skill your gonna need that to fund SC/Alc as they are not cheap to skill :p anything from 15-30plat to get 1000 skill in those trades.

Also bare in mind that only caster class`s can do SC and only Rogue class`s can do Alchemy.

Not exactly right. Got this from the herald:
Spellcrafting is available to "pure casters" as well as healers (basically, any class that cannot specialize in a weapon). Specifically:

Albion: Cabalists, Clerics, Sorcerers, Theurgists, Wizards
Hibernia: Druids, Eldritches, Enchanters, Mentalists
Midgard: Healers, Runemasters, Shamans, Spiritmasters

Alchemy may be taken up by "hybrids", or fighting classes that have some form of magical or roguish bent. To wit:

Albion: Friars, Infiltrators, Minstrels, Paladins, Scouts
Hibernia: Bards, Champions, Nightshades, Rangers, Wardens
Midgard: Hunters, Shadowblades, Skalds, Thanes

I won't be reskilling, got LGM just a short time ago so I could make my own top-of-the-line armour. I'll probably make 2 sets in all: one for RvR and one for PvE. The PvE set will have no resists on it, but will max stats and get me the various plusses I need so mobs don't resists debuffs etc. RvR set will have the various resists etc.

I might spellcraft with my shammy, haven't decided. If not, I'll buy the imbuing I need.

One thing I do want is an arcanium mp staff which I can load up with a few things. Stats won't be published though ;)

MUHAHAHAHAHAHA(TM)

What's the point of taking up Alchemy as a rogue, since they scrapped the poison line.

I thought about it, once, only to be able to get something stronger than Lifebane.

As it is, I kind of lost interest. Healing potions... well I use totems.

I made my previous post on lunchbreak. Was halfway home when wondered.

Would a staff be Arcanium or Duskwood?

Never weapon crafted so don't know :)

Roo its fletching not weapon crafting so duskwood :)

snikit think trigali was refering to the fact that DoT poisens will in a future patch be affected by body resists (or so im led to believe)
but theres a whole lot more to the envenom line than just DoT's

anyway back on track might take up SC with my healer but cant see myself reaching 1000+ in it :)

Poisons haven't been scrapped from Alchemy.. they just didn't implement 2 new poisons. All the merchant-bought poisons can be created by an alchemist.

Roo -- You'll want a Duskwood Heavy Shod staff. Preferably a masterpiece. Good thing I'm a LGM Fletcher, which is what you need to have them made. ;D

I sense some mutual back scratching and trading coming in the near future :D

Maybe a stupid question, but where is the info regarding jewels, slots / charging, SC and alch coming from ?
In other words, anyone know a site with info ( lists ) from jewels and their abilities ?

ahh so the DoT's will be affected by body resist. ok

and with SC and Alchemy needing good items/weapons i can see alot of "well if i get A will you make me B" going on, should be alot of co-op going on, which should make alot of peeps (alteast the crafters) work across guilds, some thing that will benefit all, cos conversations while doing this are always helpfull, ok some of it might bne gossip but hey it make for a nicer family feelin :D
