sblive devldr32 error with xp

I just upgraded from windows 2000 to xp and had a few problems. One of the main ones is the fact that my sound stopped working, the sound card seems to be messed up now. I think it probably has something to do with the drivers. But as far as I know creative doesnt have any drivers for xp released yet. And now I keep getting an error dealing with DevLdr32. The only info I have found on this file is that its part of sblive. So if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Yep, Emb is correct. No drivers for XP yet (surprise surprise). I recently had this problem with 2k, even tho it has been fine for 6 months. The other day when i shutdown it wouldn't shutdown saying "devldr not responding" then just sitting there.

Reinstalled the driver and it's fine now

while searching through some stuff online I came across this site http://www.maxreboot.com/article.php?sid=2024 . They have the full software for sblive that works for win 2k and xp. I installed that and most of my problems with my sound card went away. The file is 64 Mb but it is well worth it if u have a similar problem.

However, word is, that these are not the Official Live!Ware drivers, since the Live!Ware version for Windows XP, will be Live!Ware 4. But who knows?

I wouldn't use them ;)

yea I was reading that and it does make sense that its not the official liveware drivers if its not the 4.0 version. But it is a good temporary fix when the new liveware is releashed by creative I will definetly d/l that. So people with slow connections who can wait a few days.....well it might be closer to a week but they should be releashed soon after the releash of xp if not the same day, should just wait but if u can d/l 64 Mb in a few minutes such then d/l them.
