My sb has been spec'd axe for a while, and a few people have told me to respec sword because axe is gimped, how ever they have not been able to give me a good reason why axe is gimped, iv tryed sword many times but i cant realy notice a difference between the 2 :x as im using LA / CS styles, but for some reason i prefer axe.

Iv read this

http://vnboards.ign.com/midgard_rogue_professions/b20912/95118928/p1

and the guy says AXE OR SWORD THE GREAT DEBATE: sword, but doesnt give any reason why to spec sword.. so im just wondering if anyone can list the pro's / con's of specing axe / sword if they can be arsed.

Thx.

So you get use of battler if you have it in 2h slot for the charge. You can also use GS when you are sword specced.

Axe for Sunweapons, Sword for everything else.
Sword looks better and there's more worthwhile mainhand weapons. ;)

Well with sword u can have high vareity of artifact weapons in mh and malice offhand while keeping battler in 2h slot for charge and extra poison.

With axe u can use Malice mainhand.

I know, what I was trying to say is that you will have better use for it if you are sword speced
