No easy way to answer that.

I'd almost never go 50 either CS or LA on an SB. You get better dmg by dividing the points so you get closer to 44CS 44LA. Trouble is at lower RR thats not really possible for SBs.

At lower RRs I'd spec for FG(39LA) and get as close to 44CS as possible, as rest of your spec may permit.

i am rr4 now and i got this spec

39sword (evade = stun)
44cs (hamstring/leaper/rib separation)
26la (you dont need it anyway since on mid oh always hits)
33env (at rr4 you get 47 comp envenom so you can use higher ws debuff)
35 stealth

higher sword means boost on your dmg, so your pa's and styles will hit for more + you dont lose the stun.

Thanks to pilskaft for teaching me those !

If you dual wield as a Mid you get 62.5% Base Dam per weapon plus 0.34% per point of LA and you will swing both weapons every round (Not guaranteed to hit though).
CD/DW does 100% Base Dam (both weapons) but has a chance to swing off hand each round depending on your cd/dw spec. (i.e. the +11 DW SCing for an inf increases chance for oh to swing by 6-8% roughly)

Basically with 24 la +3 (rr4) + 11 (SCing) = Total 38 LA you are doing 75.42% of an Inf or NSs dmg (The LA mechanics apply to both oh and mh)

50 LA +3 (rr4) +11 (SCing) = total 64 LA you are doing 84.26% of an Infs or NSs dmg

So LA spec does help you dmg significantly.

Im specced 44 CS, 39 LA and find the dmg pretty much optimal.
The way I see it, low rr sbs can either go high envenom or high LA but not both.

Ref going high sword/axe etc u only need 51 composite (spec + RR + SCing) and tbh 50 is acceptable if you are using CS styles exlusively.
39 Sword does give a nice stun that being said, and does increase your PA cap etc but tests ive done with 44CS/50Sword and 44CS/composite 51 Sword indicate a difference of 40 dmg on a PA cap with same gear etc. tbh your better off increasing LA for more dmg accross the board imo.

Hope info is of help

with and without debuff :p

speccing a SB is simple!

44 CS
44 LA
30 Weapon
30 Stealth
26 Envenom

then preferably bribe someone, who actually can kill stuff, to RP PL you :p

P.S. If you enjoy your sanity, don't roll a SB
