Saw Kick-Ass last night

It was fucking amazing! The trailer makes you think it'll be funny, if a little cheesy. However after watching for a bit you realise there's a good story behind it and the action is 'dare i say' KICK ASS!

I can best describe the film as "Kill Bill 2 meets Spiderman". Funnily enough there are parts of spiderman's story, way of life in the film along with a scene which instantly makes you think of Kill Bill 2 (even the music is the same i think!)

Really great film, for me it was like Zombieland, much better than i'd expected.

think I'll treat myself to a cinema trip and see this; doesn't look like something one can be sad while watching and I may even dye my hair purple and take up a life of crime fighting.

Went to see this wednesday evening, not at all what I expected. I mean from the clip it looks total hillarious slapstick but like you said it was more kill bill than superbad. I actually really enjoyed it, it's nice when a movie is actually unpredictible and tbh I didn't see half the stuff that happened coming spent a lot of the times thinking no that can't of happened, must be a dream sequence!

Was a shame they used most of the funny bits in the trailer though, I wish they wouldn't use them all up like that.

I don't know Ez, I originally thought "oh they've used the best bits in the trailer", but after seeing it, I think they only used a few. To be fair, the trailer is great and really sells the movie so I cant blame them for that.

Oh no the trailer is great but it misrepresents the film quite a bit (I thought anyway) I mean everyone I spoke to thought it was a slapstick comedy caper and if you really expect/want that you'll be in for a surprise, though tbh I thought the film was good enough to make the unexpectedness of the plot worth it.
