This BIOS thang looks like a nice idea and not expensive not neither. This bit am00sed me, though
WARNING: Make sure you plug in the module and the BIOS chip the correct way round. Failure to do so will destroy both!!
Would be ironic if some poor bastid fried his BIOS AND 'Savior' at the same time. :)

Not sure I'd bother with one, never had a problem with BIOS flashes that couldn't be repaired. Most recent BIOS flash failed due to faulty floppy disk (dammit) but luckily I still had an older BIOS upgrade disk lying about. Even if I didn't I could have made one next morning at work.

For the previous flash (believe it or not) I experienced a short power failure part-way through the write. (Old house with dodgy electrics) Fortunatey my UPS kicked in and the BIOS completed successfully on battery power. :D I cacked me pants.
