Savage's gimped now?

Just heard savages is nerfed heavily on US version.. What i whant to know is: Is savages still useful in rvr gankgroups, and what got nerfed?

I have ubber Kobbie Savage lvl 32.. And have no problems beating down oranges, so can't see /have they are gimped.. Plz tell they dont get gimped at 50th lvl

Savages rarely quadhit now, the selfbuffs don't last 30 seconds, and generally less triple hits happen, can call the class balanced, as far as a mid tank is concerned with selfhaste+celerity.

thhey still tripple hit alot, wwhich is better than perma quads.
Savages are still a strong class especially with the melle dmg increase on TOA items being up to 4 times as effective.

Nope, it just doesn't effect triple and quads as much as it did before.

Savages are far from gimped, they just require more healing in the group in rvr sometimes but still their damage is far superior than mostly anything, i been killed in 3s with my merc who had 800af at the time too(2400hps) by 2 savages assisting(this was 1-2 weeks ago too), not gimped at all

There is also a 4.4 toa claw that is very nice for a savage Oo

Edit: Btw, i also had trouble soloing with savage at lower levels. Or, not problems, just not owning as much as at level 50 Gets better and better, as most classes

Go for Aug Dex 2 then start mounting up MOPain. MOPain is sick for a H2H Savage, it makes quite a noticeable increase in your damage output.

high rr (rr7-8+) savages are brutal still, though they can be killed fairly easily with battler/malice combo imo :> but nothing close to prenerf status.

about ras:
i went det4-purge-det5-dualreflexes2
going for dr3, then mop3... imo more double-triple hits(quads are rare, dont rly count on those) = better then more crits, my2cents.

oh yes ml3 bot +buff items = fast artifact leveling o

The so called nerf wasnt a nerf. It was an adjustement but it didnt adjust the actual problem.

Savage selfbuffs made to be more expensive and their duration was halved.

Quad rates were taken down, what else?

Anyway, the selfbuffs are as effective as before which means that a sava will still swing near to cap speed. Also, those pre nerf times the slowest claw was 3.7 speed. Now the slowest you can find is 4.4 afaik...

Savages are far from gimped, and If I´d be a alb/hib I´d be crying for a nerf.

Too bad I aint and pressed midgard couple years back

I came back to daoc 3weeks ago thinking my savage would suck, but discovered that wasnt so.
More singlehits and abit anoying with 15sec buffs were the changes, but still doin ok
