savage and qui

Gotto do my sc soon and i was asking myself : with evade being rather borked in group rvr, is it worth maxing qui with a 2h spec?

i'm wondering about the viability of a base qui, maybe even non haste 2h strategy for better frontloading in a melee assist team

Frontloading schmontloading, bet you would like it if friars were neglecting their haste buff because they thought frontloading might work better.

frontloading > dmg over time in assist teams fyi

Yes because you would like to wait before you can swing again when you choose a new target..?

no because 3 hard hits can kill and are harder to heal then 6 small ones?

Of course in theory if all tanks are hitting very slow and very hard you can kill something in the first round or even the second. But if you can't kill them in the first two rounds, and use the 4-5 seconds fully to get to the next most important character in the enemy team - frontloading isn't really better.
Add to that chance of fumbling, missed swings, less than a full swing delay of waiting in between choosing new targets and the abillity for all realms to prolong fights and damage over time is probably almost always better.

this is just my .02

ive HEARD that a healers hastebuff dosnt screw around with your melecab, and i would therefor imagine that the savage self haste would work in simmilar ways. Like the theos and friars hastebuff's.

if that is true i dont see a reason for capping quickenss, just use the selfhaste and you will be swinging 39% faster and still be dealing the same damage as the twohanded zerker / warrior.

Imo its always better to cap quickness if you have the space in the sc setup to do so.
Its not that big a difference in style damage anyway, and the pleasure of not falling asleep inbetween two swings is also neat.

Don't mind Klav, he still lives in the Dark Ages (hrhr great Pun)

Qui for teh win imo.

Klav its a complete waste to create a savage and not bother with +Qui or your haste buff, I mean duh, you are better off rolling a Warrior with 0 Qui 2H as he has shitloads more weaponskill/Str/Hp/Defence and would do the sameg damage as a no Qui no Haste Savage.

BTW FYI Sword Line is Definately getting an Evade Reactionary chain that will end in a 2nd line Stun Style.

I've been in MA groups with my savage, groups which have had alot of success I might add (three healers, shaman, skald, 3x tanks). And between capped quickness and my selfhaste buff, I easily have time to hit each target twice, sometimes even three times, and if one of the healers manage to get of a celerity things gets really fun.
Plus I've haven't noticed evade being "borked", there's nothing like having a spear hero or polearmsman stiking to you while you follow MA and you evade two of his backstyles in a row :)

Evade is the ONLY defensive skill in the game that is NOT borked and 100% working.

Not only that, its the only defensive ability that IS NOT reduced in effectiveness by any specific setups.

eg DW halves block chance, 2H halves parry chance, NOTHING halves evade.
