SATA driver into Windows XP CD

.. Or just use an install cd that has service pack 2 on it already. Win XP + SP2 never even asked for a driver and installed straight from cd. (To my suprise)

Yep, not sure if SP1 has it built in as well. But definitely SP2 has Sata from scratch. Only time you should need to load disk drivers would be if you wanted to RAID your disk drives.

Ahh well the software can be used to load other stuff into the install anyway so :)

NLite is awesome - I've made DVD(RW) with integrated IE7, WMP11, up to date updates and automated Ghost image for fresh install. Also stripped Windows off the stuff I dont need (be carefull though - took me multiple tries to make Windows small yet fully functional :S)

Wtf? My XP Pro SP2 (illegal :p) CD doesn't support my SATA straight away, which sucks since I only have SATA on laptop.

Anywho, I'm off to try that link.
