salvage cap

I was salvaging a daemon forged haubrek and it only salvaged for 20 diamond bars. According to the web it should salvage for 48 bars. The same applies to the finlath hammer. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem. (or knows if it is changed in a future patch)

It reduces the benefit from salvaging df stuff as a cash source for df items

The amount of material you get from salvage is random. Sometimes you will get lots, sometimes hardly anything. That's just the way it goes. I suspect that 48 you found on the web is the maximum anyone has got.

I have salvaged 10 or so fins hammers and have got 20 bars every time ... as long as you have high enough metalworking it should be max every time

Seems as if you cant get more than 1 stack of bars atm

I know crafters in our guild who have gained 45 bars from firebrands :/

Yeah sent to rightnow before I posted here ... really just wanted to see if it was a known bug, guess ill wait until I get a reply from goa

Response from rightnow is that there is a salvage cap until 1.50. Guess I will have to hoard all items until then.

Only got 20 bars from firebrands too. Best so far was crystal great sword for 48 bars. Gonna try azure avenger next.
