For the good of the public
not for the good of my bank balance, honest
a guide to saddlebags:

These are crafted by your local friendly LGM crafter-type (need 1000 in leatherworking to be precise) and can be bought at house 742 on alb/excal as well as possibly some other places.

To use them you need to be CL2 and above.

At CL2 you can activate a Front Left Saddlebag - just /use it and you will have 4 slots open on your horse on the /mount screen.

At CL3 you can activate the front right saddlebag - again /use, and the second page of 4 slots will appear.

CL4 you get a rear left saddlebag
CL5 a rear right saddlebag.

Once you've done that you have a whole 16 slots on your horse which you can store more stuff in. There is a limit of 200 encumberance on the horse however so you can only fit the three diminutive siege rams :( Superb for storing all the useless cruft you pickup during the champion quests though :)

These don't belong to just your current horse but stay with you on all your horses. - i.e. /use one saddlebag and it's with you for life.

And for how much do these saddle bags go for?
And do you just buy 1 or do you need to buy one for each CL (according to your example?).

CL2 = 150g
CL3 = 175g
CL4 = 200g
CL5 = 225g

That seems to be the going price atm...

one for each CL

Check the ME for going prices :) I'd class kir's as pretty cheap - not much off cost price and given there's no demand for MP ones there's not likely to be anyone flooding the market. But I'm sure market forces will decide in due time :)
