Yeah uh. Anyone else come across this? I played the demo a while ago and thought it was great. Like a high quality Diablo 2 clone, or something, with more depth, story and freedom.
I bought the game the other day and uh, it turns out the best part of it was the part covered by the demo. It seems, as far as I can see, that almost everything beyond the demo area is a goddamn headache. It's endless, generic countryside populated by endless, generic, respawning enemies. Which isn't my idea of fun. Sigh.

just playing it now, but haven't left the demo area yet...

if that's the case tho, it's exactly the same as Diablo :p

Not quite, as at least in Diablo (or Diablo 2 - I never played the original so I don't know its details) the areas you'd cleared, and monsters you'd killed, stayed cleared, and stayed dead. It seems that in this game, most of the areas contain craploads of generic, respawning enemies, which is really, really, REALLY goddamn repetitive and boring.

I got it but it keeps crashing to desktop every 5 mins.

Have to wait for a patch or something.

1.6 patch out now and 1.7 due any day, much much more stable. The gameworld is huge and there is a silly amount of quests. However the respawn does become tiring after a while unless you are a very strong melee class.

Tried playing this at my works LAN and it was just laggy as hell for some reason, as for the respawning monsters just get the items that kill anything at a certain level or just ride past on your horse ;)

Does anyone get eye strain or headaches after playing this for awhile? :wij:

Great game, enjoying it... for some strange reason I enjoy riding around the country all the time uncovering little nooks that I have left.
I still have to recover the last element (wont spoil more), but I am first getting up a few levels.
Currently am a L33 Dark Elf, good stuff.

I for one will definately be trying out other classes before I lay down this game.

The items leave me a little stumped though... I am not quite sure how the modifiers work, but hopefully I will figure it out.

Sacred is better than Diablo 2.

Then again, everything is better than Diablo 2, or any Blizzard game, for that matter :)

Sacred is ok but it aint good as diablo 2, I just completed the game and it has a terrible ending. The end bosses were awful and easy because if you die you'll respawn a few feet away, and as theres no death penalty you just win...

Its full of bugs and the multiplayer is unplayable due to lag and of course...bugs

could of been great... :(

Personally i think its a great game, played most class's to at least level 30, only gripe i have is its a tad easy and multiplayer dosnt seem to work well, although it does run smooth for me at least.

Its well worth a look and has many features that improve over diablo2 imo.
