RvR sooooooooooooo boring?

Dunno about anyone else, but I haven't even hit RR3 yet...why?

Been lvl 50 about week and a bit now and well Boredom!!! I am hardly on DAoC as much as I use to be, and I was wondering if RvR gets anymore interesting, I mean I sometimes I have wicked times in RvR and really enjoy it, but most of the time its the same old thing, gank him gank her, get ganked alot, gank him gank her, get ganked alot, teleport repeat 100 times

I mean the prospect of getting to RR5 positively frightens the bee jesus out of me, its like levelling ALL OVER AGAIN!

Very true Ryzar and maybe I do sound a little conceited I am not sure, just do find it a tad dull sometimes

I find the ganking of players much more interesting and rewarding than ganking mobs. I mostly seek out the solo ganks/fights as they tend to be a lot more fun than the usual zerg. Also group vs group fights is a blast if it isn't a mez fest.

I team up with my gf which means we can take on larger groups and in turn can also make things more exciting. Minstrel/Infil combo is the most devastating combo imo, you should try it out sometime.

<edit> PS. Gwari is an excellent rvr minstrel who is in Illuminati. I've played with him a couple of times in rvr when steph wasn't around. I'd suggest giving him a shout.

i feel with ya and know the problem
had a cleric on albion was fun at the beginning
but annoyed me when i reached this pygmy plague
so rerolled as pure fun class in a more fun realm

one problem too is that there arent "real" horses
to ride and classes without speed are sooooo damn
slow that i can't play em anymore and understand ppl
that quit due to the fact that theyre slooow (happened
to a friend of mine) as alb you dont always have a
minstrel with ya ... in mid skalds are the most played
class... you wont see a mid squad without speed... never...

back to the topic:
as nicolas said team with some minstrels and gank
poor trolls n kobbies... is always a laugh when you
see 7 alb stealthers pop up and kill most of the
mid zerk heh

the last thing is that it takes too less skill to "own" in this
game.. just press 3 buttons and enemy or you is dead after
15 seconds... i hope potions and RAs will make the fights
a bit longer and more interesting as now and well the zergs
are bit harsh too... /waves to albs =P

if this isnt what you suggest as "fun" try to stick
with the game till the euro pvp server comes...

The problem with you unexperienced lvl 50's is: You dont know why you hitted 50

I played RvR from lvl 35
Dinged r4 at lvl 43 , the more lvl's i gained the easier it went to kill.

If you're still not r3 then you dont know how to hunt archers
play more, learn more, gain more rp's.

Rangers/scouts/hunters are the most RP Farmer class in the entire game jesus Secret Spy is RR4 at lvl 41

There is not one other class in the game that I know that can hit RR4 so quickly

They are just so easy to play its unbelievable and before u ask I have one on the american servers

You just pick your target shoot, shoot, dead 900+ RP's thanku very much

Overpowered completely and see hidden in America seems to have balanced them out alot

I leveld to 50 because RVR was, and still is, my main goal. Life's tough before 50 as an assasin in the big bad world of RVR so that was my incentive to get those levels. I've also laid out goals for my character by speccing low in certain specs so I am forced to get the abilities I want by getting the bonusses from realm ranks.

I'm sure that by the time I'm RR6 lots of new things will have been added to the game which I can then take an active interest in.

Building up a name for yourself and getting to know your enemies skills/classes/weaknesses is so much more rewarding than ganking a mob over and over again. For me MMORPGS are all about leaving your mark on a virtual world, mind you this doesn't mean you have to be the best of the best.

Lets say 1000rp a pop for each person, thats in a perfect world but a good control so lets start

Essentially he would have to kill over 100 people in RvR within that day

God knows how many hours that would take a Shadowblade to do

Guess I am just no good as an infil and should finally move over to the american servers with my scout

Well, I've played with a Infiltrator a few times now, not a level 50, but a level 42...

It's a lot of fun, and cant really be compared to playing a scout... (and yes, also played a scout at 41 hey, got loads of friends )

Scouts are DAMN hard to play too... Personally, found that a Scout is even harder to play then an Infiltrator...

You cant 1-shot casters, unless they forgot to put up BT (or are a lot lower in level then you)... Your stealth is often lower then that of an Infiltrator...

With the level 42 Infiltrator, I could take out a red caster with PA, CD (and sometimes SS, and sometimes (dwarfs) Garrok too)... With the scout, I could only do that if he/she was really not paying attention

But just go find yourself a few juicy Archers to take out... For once, dont care about dying, just go into a group thats 'standing about' and take out a caster (or healer) in the group... By the time they figure out why their caster is low on health, he's dead...
(your dead after that most of the time too, but hey, such is life)

Found it loads of fun to play an Infiltrator (but then again, anything is probably fun after playing a tank for 3 months )

How come the most Deathmsgs comes from SBs and NS and not hunters/rangers? Assasins is the uber rp farming..

You cant become king in one day...

it's all about experience in RvR ..

Attack at the right moment
Know which escape way you'll take after you killed him
Search for archers on wall
Reflexes when you meet another assasin
etc.

damn i think eleasias killed me 15 times / day when i was RvR newbie..

I have 100k realmpts at Cowled, thou i have played ALOT in emain. And i made 25k realmpts in 2½ hour as a lvl 50 SB.

light, i have rvrd since level 13 on my nightshade (wasnt very successful but there ya go). got my rr2 in teh 20's, rr3 at about 42 afaik, which was nice assassins don't farm rp, they just get lucky runs sometimes sb's can probably farm though cause of 2h 1-shots
