RvR Shortage?

Looking for constructive opinions on what we Albion characters we are short of in RvR. If not characters which skills are we not utilising fully.

Thinking about my next toon. One that is loved in RvR but not two a penny.

Minstrels. Yes, there are loads of them, but you never can get one for grp.

shortage of sorcs is caused by dieing in 1,5 second from savages who are mezzable for 6 seconds (det 5 + uber body resists)

only a few good sorcs around

Thats because they either hang out with Infis or SoS as soon as anything moves into their view.

Yeh, maybe it's a bad habit they fire that RA when someone is approaching to them. Thanks god they can't use it when I'm going to rezz them - then I could understand mids/hibs, how do they feel when the rp are just running away.

Was speaking about lvl 50 minstrels. Really loads of them, 2 days ago seemt 7 from 13 ppl in emain.

Most of the time people dont have Sorcerer or Cleric. This is a fact. The problem is, that people are reluctant to play these classes because of the following :

- If you are a cleric you are useful in a group, but if it should so happen that they got all the clerics they need, you cant kill anything alone. Also, lots of people wanna dea dmg not patch wounds.

- If you are a sorc, a bit of the same apply. Sorcs can solo decent tho, but they have a big problem in groups where they often are the only cloth casters getting killed in every battle whether their groups wins or not.

Check my rps this week in just 4 hours(50k) xD so no she's not but i am playing hib excal so haven't had much time.

Why does no one want body cabbies. They nuke hard, have a very long duration ae disease, have a nuking pet and emergency heals.
Everyone only purges or shrugs off mezz anyway, whereas disease, even if purged has no immunity timer.
With tank heavy group fighting and the /assist train, I would think having a speed advantage would be worth more than a few seconds of mezz.

we lack cleric's mainly trouble is if ppl start with a cleric they get bored v quick with it but ppl that already have a main and go for a cleric seem to lovethe class in rvr ....

sorc well i play a sorc but v rarely as a sorc is usually the only caster in the group and tends to make a wubly target as soon as u wave yr hands about to cast mes ... even if u mes em all the group u against will all have u targeted rdy ...... 8 / 10 times sorc dies in group even if group keeels em all <note to clerics and pala's if sorc dies quick res him quick or u will find he will log soon outa sheer frustration>

have played recently with a few casters in group and its great u sometiems even last a full 20 sec's as apose to 10 sec's

This is the most accurate of all.

Sorcies became fotm a while ago now every rvr guild has a sorc. If your not in a good group of rvr people you die like a lame duck not a fun way to spend your time.

Clerics are like pve theres either 1 or 2 busy or a coach load lfg.

Havent seen too many armsmen of late. Mercs and pallies are most.

If you are not in PE/FL or have regular guild RvR grp, then do not start a cleric 'cause will struggle without grps.

That's very true. Alot of people complain about the lack of clerics/sorc etc, but unless you're in an RvR guild, you'll have as much trouble finding a good group as a spirit cabbie, or something

As with PvE, I'm finding the best way to get a group is to build one myself. Been doing that this week and had a couple of fun nights in RvR. Having a required class doesn't guarentee you an RvR group, so don't roll one for the sake of it. In this day of FoTMs, cleric, sorc, minstrel, merc, paladin will be a good bet. Sorcerers are the hardest to play, imo. You have less than 3seconds to prove yourself or die trying.

ppl complain that there no clerics, but try to find a grp in the lvl 30-40 range, seems like everyone is pl'ed with a necro and there arent any grps left.

Aggree totally with ya Civy, too many Albs think that the tatics used against us are they ones we should use, even though we don't have the right spells to do it.
