RvR Joint Feedback (RE: Making RvR more fun)


2)Use of Banners in RvR to help visually direct large forces.

"We have some ideas for this and it was something we’re very keen on. Hopefully some sort of banner system will be worked out for the RvR expansion."

3)Provide better graphic options for people to reduce lag in large-scale RvR.

"This is an issue we're acutely aware of. There might be a small change on the plate for 1.65 that will help this, with further improvements coming in future patches."

4)More customization of guild claimed keeps through use of guild bounty points and possible hook points for keeps (example: outpost guild teleport NPCs).

"I have to be careful what I say regarding the RvR expansion, but this type of idea is something we've been discussing about a lot. "

6)Improved siege and defensive tools/equipment. Ex. Close-ranged siege, defensive barriers etc.

"Agreed whole-heartedly. We may see some minor siege upgrades in 1.65, but this is one of the major things we are keeping in mind as we design the RvR Expansion."


This is really great actually, and wat the game needs.
After this feedback i have really high expetations on this!!!!

Banners of forces/guilds
Some stuff to help decrease lag
Teleport to frontier Oo
And big siege update.

I don't like the porting idea that much, would be sick if you could just port into the keep. Maybe make a port keep much like the tk's now, so you don't have to run for 5 mins to get to Beno/Bled/DC.

Other ideas sound fine, better siege equipment would be good, we are already seeing better rams (atleast, looks like it).
I really hope they devise a new rvr area with goals for each realm, etc..

Hi Glottis, first positive post i made you seen, carry on bud :)

To promote the keepportingidea, got some few things on my mind.

Its not fun to attack an empty keep, the fun begins when people are defending it from its attackers. Make relickeeps unportable, and ONLY the guild that have clamied the keep may port into it, that would make it much more fun to actually go out and defend it rather than take it back. In this way we will never have to fight against undefended keeps.
And with the new keep setup this might bring a new spectra to sieging, + additional tools etc.

Im just waiting for ladders to put up against the walls (in some sort of way), pouring boiling trollshit over albs smashing the doors etc \o/

Ladders would've been great! :)

And yes always more fun to fight a defended keep, so make port tele to keep availible by the guild who got it claimed!

Hmm, albion banner would be something like 100 people pursuing one. Interesting though.

All right, porting into a keep under attack would be cool if it only allowed members of the guild owning the keep to do it. Oops, except for one thing:

[Alliance:] Benowyc under attack, need people to join our guild to defend it, meet CS.

People already do it today to claim a keep if the guild lacks the people, this is not much different. ;)

having one group instantly there isnt bad, but as belomar pointed out if organised well it could be 5+fg's and I doubt you want those instantly ported into the keep you're attacking.

However remember people logging into your keep while its under attack isnt possible anymore in 1.65 so keep defense is slightly different.

Make a timer of 3 hours from when you left you last guild until you can join a new one. problem solved
