Running DAOC on Windows 2003 Server

hi all,

i was wondering if anyone had ever managed to get DAOC working under Windows 2003 server?

ive got Directx installed together with the latest nvidia drivers, but i get render creation failed whenever i try to load :(

Think thats not due your OS. Post your HW spec, so we maybe be able to help.

aah - all sorted :) - my directdraw was disabled - funny how directx will install, but then it will 'disable' itself :)

ITs a security/performance feature in Windows 2003, :p as the platform was never designed for games, but rather Hardware intensive applications, sutff like the GFX card are set to 70%, or what is 80% mm, carnt remember of what they are capable, which increases system stability,

damm - i cant run it through terminal services :) - all directx functions are disabled :(

I am not going to suggest it will work but you could try using the /console switch to term in as it often allows you to do things u cannot do using a standard terminal session.

the syntax is something like this from the "run" box

mstsc /v:computername /console
