Runemaster spec?

I'm determined taking my Runemaster to 50 supp, call me an idiot but something tells me to go 50 instead of 44 . Anyways, should I put rest spec points in Darkness or Runecarving? Oppinions, plz

tbh, 44 supp sounds like a gimp spec. you'll be stuck with a lvl 41 specline nuke and a lvl 36 specline area nuke.

Go 50 supp to get the last specline nuke. and put leftover points in Runecarving to get the first gtaoe at 19. I doubt a darkness or RC nuke around lvl 30ish will do more dmg than the lvl 50 supp nuke.

IMO only three good RM specs are:

Full supp
47 dark // 26 supp
47 RC // 26 supp

I wouldn't even think full dark to get best AoE, sacrificing your pbr isn't worth that.

My spec is 50 sup rest in RC

If i could respec i'd go 47RC 24 Dark 11 Sup

Only spec I would go for if I was leveling a RM get a SC suit with +11 dark wont see much diffence on damage.
You get best GTAE, Bolts, cold debuff, castable blade turn first nearsight(will get resist 50% of the time). But you get to debuff your own damage type (cold) and totaly ignore resists with a couple of realm level and MoM and wild power you'll nuke around the same or harder than a Dark RM.

Sup RM is fun but with resists high your damage is totaly gimped and with 6s pbt running you'll be out of pow before the tank is dead. If you do stick with Sup just go for casters .

A good spec is full supp, get the 6 sec pbt and and cast grp fend to protect your grp, use nearsight on other casters/archers and let the tanks do the dmg

rc socks.. cant compare them whit darkness in dd damage no way.. you say yes maybe if you get wild power and diff other realmabilites but if the darkness rm got them aswell they also get alot better...

Besides i think full sup rm's are a very cool thing - bladeturn so rox.

and 44sup would be kind of a waste i think..

You also forget you 'debuff' there resist so you hit for like 5xx(+xxx) but with a dark RM you hit for 3xx(-xxx).

My RM was Dark till i ding RR5 and we got the SC patch after 2 weeks of you hit for 215(-215)! I respec to sup.

Unless the person you debuff has over 50% resist in cold you will not see any damage drop. Thats why you will over time do more damage than a Dark RM. Ive played all 3 specs so I kinda know what its like .


Btw if your wondering why im sup because I do more pve than rvr with my RM now so it was better for me.

dark rm has pbt and nearsight too

just he doesnt lose power so fast with snarnukes and 6sec pbt

Dark/Supp not RC

Im playing 47dark/26supp, and i like it alot. I nuke around 350-700 dam. And i think thats enough. I would never play a RC, i mean why should i? They have not as good DD as Dark rm and they even dont got a snare like Supp rm. And bolts...bolts is a joke in RvR as long as they have a time limit.Only time i prefere a RC rm is when there is 2 or 3 Rms in same group, and RC rm nuke only with cold debuff and Dark rm assist him. Then the Dark rm will do heavy dam.

A RM with 50 Supp is my second choise. Pbt is a must in a good group RvR/PvE, and it doesnt hurt if its 6 sec. Plus as a RM you always get a tank or infil or something on your as in a fight, then snare will save you little as. And you will still give group 6 sec pbt and you will probably go from battle as a winner.

I've specced 47 RC and 26 supp and I'm very happy with that. You get bolts that do huge dmg (if you use them right), very good ae (Flaming Spears of Heavy LD ) and gtaoe. Get into a besieged keep and the RPs will keep coming RC runies don't get a specline DD but with a few lvls in WP and MoM you'll have a dmg output that is just as good as that of any dark or supp runie.

I have gone form 47RC/26Sup -> 50Dark/20Sup -> 47RC/26Sup and to me Darkness is among the best spec you can have if you like those 1-2FG roaming arround. RC on the otherhand is more useful in keeptaking/defendings and general stand offs arround MG's etc. So if you like a little bit og this and that RC is the way to go. If your a hardcore 1-2FG player then Dark or Supp is probably marginly better. I don't know anything about DarkCarvers though.

The bolts in RC is fine by me. I usually find myslef sending off 2 Bolts at range before I go in with either DD or AE depending on the situation. Often the bolts kills the target som I'm happy .
